Tonight we didn't have a live RACE22 Radio show but we did test a new connection for all of us at home. Langley Austin, Roger Johnson and Doc Love talked a little Late Model Stock Car racing from home after a rainy weekend. Plenty of rants from a week off from the track.
The CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car series hit Ace Speedway last Friday, May 3rd and it was business as usual for the series. Series Director Chris Ragle joined the RACE22 Radio crew to discuss the event and take a look back at what happened throughout the weekend. Plus he looks ahead to the next stop at Motor Mile Speedway on May 18th.
Northern Modified and Hillbilly Racing driver James Civali joined the RACE22 Radio crew to talk about racing at Bowman Gray Stadium and what happened in the season opener. Civali tells tales of racing up north including an incident with Dave Dion in the NASCAR Busch North Series, bumping the pace car, the patented Civali move and much more. Listen back to RACE22 Radio episode 15 from Monday, April 22, 2019, as the crew was joined by Daryn Cockram. Cockram makes his first start out of the Lee Pulliam Performance stables this Saturday at Motor Mile Speedway. For Cockram, it's a return to his home track which was shuttered for the 2018 season and is looking for a big return this season.
Cockram tells some old tales from back in the day at his other home track of Franklin County Speedway as well as breaking news (accidentally) that he got engaged recently. Needless to say, it was a good time had by all during this two and half hour show.
