The Triumphal entry was not what I thought it was all these years. What the people wanted and what Jesus was doing were two different things. At the moment, the people wanted a King, but Jesus needed to be a Savior. He always knows better what we need than we do. No matter what you think or feel, follow Him. The Bible says that without FAITH we cannot please Him.
Aaron Dreher Memorial Service on July 19, 2024 at Church at Viera, Florida. It starts off with a message by Mark Merical (me) and then the family shares. Melanie (Aaron's wife), Brady (son - 21), Avery Part 1 (Son - 18), Ella (daughter - 14), and Jojhn Ludwig, Aaron's life-time best friend, then Avery part 2.
What is more important, physical healing or spiritual healing? Are they equally important? Which one lasts longer? What do you think?
In God's economy our desire to climb over everyone to get to the top will never work. Well, it might work but it won't bring any joy. God tells us if we want to first we need to be a servant and a slave to get where we want to be. It's interesting. Take a listen.
Was the third time the charm?? Well, probably not! Haha! It is like most of the things in our lives, the bad usually has to come before the good. The storms create the fresh new beginnings. It doesn't seem like it at the time but it is truth. We are talking about this very thing in this podcast.
There are many things in our world that try to keep us from Jesus, but maybe the most powerful thing that distracts us from Jesus is SELF.
How much should we be willing to give up to come to Jesus? Everything, some things, nothing? Why are you coming to Jesus?
Jesus loves kids! He wants children to know Him personally. Children trust Him completely. Jesus wants us adults to trust Him completely as well. In fact, He said that we cannot enter into His Kingdom unless we have the faith of a child. Our everyday lives should be marked by child-like faith.
The greatest bond we have on earth is the bond with our spouse. There is no mistaking that everything in our world, plus Satan and his demons, are trying to tear that apart. Divorce is not an option. God does not like divorce at all. He doesn't like it for any reason whatsoever. There seems to be some provision for divorce when there is abuse/abandonment and unfaithfulness with another person. But, even then, God would prefer it to be worked out and stay married if at all possible. No, you are right. This is not easy. It is very difficult. But by God's grace and both parties working towards the goal of honoring God, it CAN be done.
Took a break from the Mark series for a weekend to talk about what happened when Moses met God face to back. It is quite a story and it could your story.
