A visit with one of the members of the team, Chelby Melvin, who is also a nationally known 400M hurdler in outdoor track & field.We also visit with Coach Rechelle Turner of the first place Racer women's basketball team and Coach Steve Prohm and the Racers hit the road this week to play Evansville and Missouri State. In our recap and preview of the week ahead for the Racers, Murray State Rifle hosts the OVC Championship this weekend at Roy Stewart Stadium.

The Murray State men's basketball team leads off this week's Racer Report Podcast as they went into Des Moines Sunday and stopped Drake's 28-game home win streak. We also visit with Racers' legend Katelyn Young who surpassed career 2,500 points for the MSU women. We also catch up with Murray State head football coach Jody Wright for an update on recruiting for the 2025 season.

As exclusive as the Murray State Hall of Fame is, the next step is even more so when a Racer Great gets their number retired. So it was in December 2024 when Amber Guffey (2005-09) was honored as her No. 5 was raised to the rafters at the CFSB Center. Guffey visits the program to talk about this amazing moment. We also update the recruiting successes for Coach Jody Wright and Racer Football and get an update from both MSU Basketball teams including a moment when the men's team visited the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor during their recent visit to the Diamond Head Classic in Hawaii.
