Well, here we go. Rachel and Alex dive into a two-parter that is not exactly beloved by the fanbase...and maybe for some good reason. There's some domestic melodrama, some good turns for Mickey The Idiot, and some truly loathsome fart jokes that have us asking: how the hell do you fuck up a fart joke?! Along the way we gun down some vault dweller pigs, pick up on another Torchwood thread buried in these early Who episodes, and meet for the first time Harriet Jones (MP for Flydale North.) ...(Shaun's mum)

You've had a look at the future, now let's take a look at the past! Rachel and Alex follow Rose and the Doctor back to Victorian Era Cardiff to confront zombies, ghosts, and psychic powers on Christmas Eve. Along the way, we'll pick up some guy named Charles Dickens who says he was a writer in this time period or something? Probably no big deal. A great and spooky early NuWho adventure that we discover ties into the future spin-off show, Torchwood in a big bad way. Let's go ghost hunting!

Episode 2 arrives just in time for the end of the world! This time around, we follow the Doctor and Rose to the future, meet some cute alien girls, fight some spider robots, hang out with trees, and talk shit with a bitchy trampoline. Listen as we try to answer such pressing questions as: Why does the engineering deck of this space ship look like a platformer level? What exactly does the Mox of Balhoon mean by "bodily fluids"? Will Rose ever learn how to dress? Pull up a chair...or whatever it is you humans do when listening to podcasts. It's going to be fantastic...

As a bonus episode, Alex records some of his thoughts on how gendered (or not) being a parent is, how the Doctor's veneration of experience may mean becoming a woman is essential to the Doctor's understanding of the universe, and why Alex's life in particular prepared him to be especially ready for this moment. We're gunna get a little personal here. Hopefully someone takes something away from this.
