More than two dozen world leaders gathered in Moscow to join Russian President Putin for Victory Day, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany on Friday.

It was yet another reminder that NATO’s campaign to isolate Russia has failed, as reports say the US, the UK, France and Germany are looking for ways to “force” Russia into a deal over Ukraine, which goes to show how out of touch they remain.

All of this, as conflicts continue around the world, including between India and Pakistan, with the two countries becoming the first to engage in drone warfare between two nuclear-armed nations this week, sending tensions soaring.

Zelensky has suddenly declared that Kiev is ready for a “complete ceasefire” without any pre-conditions, after refusing to agree to the 72-hour truce offered by Russia surrounding the Victory Day holiday and the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazi Germany.

This, as reports say the West is looking for ways to try to force Russia into a deal, as the U.S. prepares new sanctions (as if that will do the trick).

International Relations and Security Analyst Mark Sleboda noted that it certainly doesn’t seem like NATO is interested in peace, as Kiev launched over 500 drones into Russia in a single day, with targets that included the airports around Moscow, where dozens of foreign leaders were arriving for Victory Day, and the UK launched over an estimated 1,000 long-range Storm Shadow missiles targeting Russian territory over the last week.

Trump has announced that the U.S. will stop bombing Yemen, after his administration made an agreement with Ansar Allah, in which he said the Houthis “capitulated,” and “will not be blowing up ships anymore.”

This comes amid reports that the U.S. Navy just lost a second $60 Million jet in the Red Sea, with the U.S. Military refusing to say what happened to it.

Palestinian-Syrian Journalist Laith Marouf noted that while Trump is trying to take credit for the deal, Ansar Allah has been offering to stop targeting American ships in the Red Sea, in exchange for an end to U.S. bombings in Yemen. And the deal that was made still allows Ansar Allah to target Israel and Israel-linked ships in the Red Sea… so the U.S. is really the side that “capitulated.”

Germany has a new Chancellor, after Friedrich Merz, leader of the center-right Christian Democratic Union was elected, after a historic defeat in the first round. This, as Romania is close to having a new president, after the first round of voting saw George Simion, of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians, get over 40% of the vote.

The rerun election in Romania comes months after the previous attempt was cancelled and anti-NATO frontrunner Călin Georgescu was banned from running.

George Szamuely, a geopolitical analyst and senior research fellow at the Global Policy Institute, noted that while Simion has aligned himself with both Georgescu in order to gain support, he’s not nearly as critical of NATO and may be seen as the kind of nationalist the EU can use to its advantage.

Israel’s Security Cabinet has unanimously approved plans to “conquer” the Gaza Strip and forcefully displace the Palestinian people, with Finance Minister and War Criminal Bezalel Smotrich declaring that Israel will not withdraw from Gaza even if there is another hostage deal and telling Israelis to embrace the word “occupation.”

This, as the UN warns that Gaza is on the brink of famine, due to Israel’s ongoing blockade on humanitarian aid, and reports reveal Israel plans to flatten any buildings that remain standing and displace virtually the entire population.

The U.S. isn’t just supporting the genocide, it’s making it possible, with military, public and political support.

For the first time, Moscow and Pyongyang have acknowledged the presence of North Korean troops fighting alongside Russian forces against Kiev’s incursion into Russia’s Kursk region.

The announcement comes as Russia confirms it has regained full control of the region, and it demonstrates the implementation of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement signed between Russia and North Korea last year, which provides for mutual military assistance.

Former U.S. Diplomat and Geopolitical Analyst, Jim Jatras, noted that while the Western narrative was that Russia was desperate for manpower, the reality on the ground shows that North Korea used the Kursk incursion as an exercise in both combat and direct work with Russian forces.

President Trump sat down with TIME Magazine for an interview commemorating the first 100 days of his second term in office, and in it, he claimed Chinese President Xi Jinping has called him amid the escalated trade war initiated by the U.S. However, Chinese officials have said that’s not the case, and Trump refused to give details of the alleged discussion.

Trump also said he didn’t stop Netanyahu from attacking Iran, as a New York Times report claimed he did. And when asked about the role recognition of Crimea could play in a deal with Russia, he claimed that Obama “handed” Crimea to the Russians in 2014, and said he’s convinced a deal will be made soon with both Putin and Zelensky.
