While President Trump can't seem to make up his mind over whether the war in Iran is nearly complete, or just getting started... Iran is NOT backing down. Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's National Security Council, responded to Trump's latest threat of "death, fire and fury," by declaring that the Iranian people: "do not fear your hollow threats; for those greater than you have failed to erase it… So beware lest you be the ones to vanish."

Dr. Setareh Sadeqi, of the University of Tehran, noted that the Iranian people are more united than ever, in the face of ongoing threats to their nation from the US, and the world will continue to see an unprecedented response as Iran fights for its sovereignty.

President Trump’s rhetoric on the war in Iran continues to be all over the place, as he claimed on Monday that it was “very complete,” but then said it was both complete and “just the beginning,” when questioned by reporters.

He also continued to throw a temper tantrum over Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz, while claiming the U.S. has “wiped every single force in Iran out” (except the ones guarding the Strait, apparently)

Former CIA Analyst Larry Johnson noted that the war the U.S. and Israel have waged against Iran has the power to “trigger a global economic collapse,” as oil traffic comes to a halt and the U.S. vassal states in the Persian Gulf come under fire from Iran.

Iran may have spent years preparing for a prolonged war, but the region is acting as though they were taken by surprise…

We are just over one week into the latest phase of the U.S. and Israel’s war on Iran, and Tehran is following through on its promise to make the global economy feel the pain of this war. With the Strait of Hormuz effectively closed, around 20% of global oil traffic has come to a screeching halt and states in the Persian Gulf are being forced to cut production as they run out of storage.

Sharmine Narwani, a journalist and columnist at The Cradle, noted that decades of being targeted and attacked by the U.S. put Iran in a position where it was forced to prepare for this war.

And it is prepared for a prolonged war, as Tehran’s Assembly of Experts has elected Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the late Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and a veteran of the Iran-Iraq War, as their new leader. A reminder that Iran is still standing, strong and united.

Tensions continue to escalate, as Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that they have used ballistic missiles to strike Israel’s main oil refinery in Haifa, which supplies over half of Israel’s fuel.

The attacks are in retaliation for Israeli strikes targeting oil storage depots and refining facilities in Tehran, which created an environmental disaster, with Iranians waking up to darkened skies, and oil and ash falling on the streets like rain.

Veteran War Correspondent Elijah Magnier noted that for Iran, there is no backing down and no surrender, because this is an “existential war.” The same goes for Hezbollah, as they are now rewriting the rules of engagement by joining the war and keeping Israel busy at their border, while Iran continues its attacks on both Israel and U.S. Military sites in the region.

The Trump Admin is less than one week into a war on Iran was initially supposed to last for just “four days,” and now reports say the Pentagon is trying to figure out how to prepare for the war to continue until September.

This, as Iran continues to fight back, hitting U.S. Military sites across the region, and as Hezbollah joins Iran in attacks on Israel, making it clear that Axis of Resistance is still alive and well.
Independent Journalist Robert Inlakesh noted that the U.S. and Israel are facing their worst case scenario, because in addition to refusing negotiations, Iran is now dictating this war militarily:

“The Iranian air defenses are still there. They still have naval assets. They still have an Air Force. Their military is extremely powerful. Their allies are over-performing … and now, the ONE MAN who was in the way of Iran getting a nuclear weapon has been ruthlessly murdered by the Americans, who are claiming that Iran can’t have a nuclear weapon.”

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is boasting that the U.S. Military attacked and sank an Iranian warship in the Indian Ocean, because “it thought it would be safe in international waters.” What he didn’t mention was that the ship wasn’t in active combat, and was returning from routine naval drills in India, and the U.S. left dozens of sailors and crew members to die.

Carl Zha, a geopolitical analyst and Host of the Silk & Steel Podcast, noted that while President Trump may be claiming to have an endless supply of weapons, Iran just took out a $1 Billion U.S. radar system, AND it’s being reported that Iran has hit at least three of Washington’s 11 THAAD missile defense systems. For the first time, Iran and Hezbollah are launching simultaneous attacks on Israel, as they continue to work to wear down the fleeting supply of air defense interceptors of the U.S. and its allies in the region.

This, as Turkey has issued a complaint after it says Turkish and NATO air defenses shot down an incoming "Iranian missile" headed for Turkish airspace.

The U.S. and its Gulf vassal states are quickly running through their supply of air defense interceptor missiles, with Bloomberg reporting that the UAE is “projected to exhaust its interceptor missile stock within one week at the current rate of fire, and Qatar within four days; both are urgently seeking additional military support from the United States.”

This, as the Middle East Eye noted that the Trump Admin is “stonewalling” requests for more intercepters, even as one anonymous former Gulf official told the outlet: “We have shot several years' worth of production in the last few days.”

International Relations and Security Analyst Mark Sleboda noted that given the glaring shortages with U.S. munitions stockpiles, he was surprised the U.S. and Israel embarked on the 12-day war last year, let alone this latest attack on Iran. And the growing desperation from Trump and Netanyahu raises concerns that they could try to get the upper hand in this conflict with the use of a tactical nuclear weapon against Iran…

While Tehran has made it clear that THEY have been the ones refusing U.S. offers to negotiate, President Trump is now claiming HE is the one who told Iran it was “too late” for talks. This, as Trump is ignoring reports that the U.S. is facing a coming air defense interceptor missile shortage, and insisting that he’s been told, “we have a virtually unlimited supply” of munitions.

Ben Swann, an investigative journalist and founder of Truth in Media, noted that not only did Trump campaign against more endless wars, but by going to war with Iran, he has now gotten the U.S. into yet another conflict where the question: “How do we get out?”
