President Trump used just a few minutes of his State of The Union address to make the case for the next U.S. attack against Iran, claiming that Washington hasn’t heard “those secret words: ‘We will never have a nuclear weapon.’”

Yet, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on X, hours before Trump’s speech: “Our fundamental convictions are crystal clear: Iran will under no circumstances ever develop a nuclear weapon; neither will we Iranians ever forgo our right to harness the dividends of peaceful nuclear technology for our people.”

Meanwhile, the CIA is openly begging for Iranian informants… raising questions of whether another colour revolution attempt is in the works.

Ahead of President Trump’s State of The Union address on Tuesday, the ‘Gang of Eight’ in Congress received a classified briefing on Iran by Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told reporters as he left the meeting: “This is serious, and the administration has to make its case to the American people.”

Col. Larry Wilkerson, former Chief of Staff to the U.S. Secretary of State, noted that with a growing U.S. Military presence in the Middle East, Trump could announce plans to attack Iran during his address. While nothing is certain yet, he emphasized that the only constant is that the U.S. seems “hell-bent to wreak havoc, no matter the consequences.”

The U.S. and Iran are planning for another round of indirect talks in Geneva this week, as Special Envoy Steve Witkoff says President Trump is "curious" as to why the threat of the growing U.S. Military buildup in the region hasn't been enough to force Tehran to "capitulate" to Washington's demands.

Iran-based Geopolitical Analyst Ehsan Safarnejad noted that Iranians "do not capitulate" and that the Trump Admin doesn't seem to understand the people it is preparing to wage war against.

He also said Iran is calculating every possible scenario, and it is aware of the threat posed by the U.S., which is why it is not rushing into conflict with a preemptive attack that could unite the political factions in Washington for a war against Iran.

President Trump is now claiming that the world will find out “over the next probably 10 days” whether the U.S. is going to make a nuclear deal with Iran. This, as reports say the U.S. Military will be ready to launch a “weeks-long” operation as early as this weekend, pending Trump approval, and that he is being presented with plans to “kill scores of Iranian political and military leaders.”

Dr. Foad Izadi, an author and associate professor in the Department of American Studies at the University of Tehran, noted that if the U.S. does attack Iran, Tehran is ready to retaliate with strikes on U.S. Military bases and warships in the region. He emphasized that Iran will never negotiate over its ballistic missile program, and that in the event of a regional war, Iran will close the Strait of Hormuz.

Reports say the Trump Admin is planning for a "major war" that will include "weeks-long" operations against Iran, as the U.S. Military rushes dozens of fighter jets and hundreds of flights of weapons to the Middle East.

But Iran is not alone, and it is actively carrying out joint military drills with Russia and China that temporarily shut down a portion of the Strait of Hormuz.

The U.S. Military is rushing assets to the Middle East, with reports of 50 fighter jets, including F-35s, F-22s and F-16s headed to the region in the last 24 hours, as more than 150 U.S. military cargo flights have moved weapons systems and ammunition to the Middle East.

The first day of trilateral talks between the U.S., Russia and Ukraine was described as “very tense” with no progress made, according to reports. But that was expected, as Zelensky claims he told the U.S. not to try to pressure him into a deal, and the Ukrainian people feel the pressure as their power grid continues to fall apart after months of Russian attacks targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

International Relations and Security Analyst Mark Sleboda noted that while Kiev has been able to launch some localized counter-attacks in the Zaporozhye region, they haven’t made significant territorial gains, and it seems as though Ukrainian troops are more focused on attempting defensive prep for the expected Russian spring offensive, as Winter comes to an end.

Iranian leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is calling out the U.S. for its hypocrisy, noting: "The Americans constantly say that they’ve sent a warship toward Iran ... however, more dangerous than that warship is the weapon that can send that warship to the bottom of the sea."

This, as the U.S. and Iran participated in another round of indirect talks, and while Iran's foreign minister said the two sides agreed on "guiding principles" for a potential deal... there is a still a long road ahead, and the U.S. has paved it with military assets in the Middle East.

Representatives from the U.S. and Iran are set to meet for talks in Geneva on Tuesday, amid soaring tensions and an increased U.S. Military buildup in the Persian Gulf.
