This Week

It has been another great and busy week for Kate and Steve. However, both found time to get some r&r in. This episode is a fun one with live tech questions answered, and a fun game from the Pod Deck.

We have a 602 B-Mod that has started to backfire at the end of the straight-a-ways...as soon as the driver sets the car...any idea what is causing this?
Steve have you ever experimented with the Autolite racing X plugs?
Would you lock the advance in the distributor on a 602?
Hey Steve is CHP plus that much better than regular CHP?
I hate to ask a fuel question but we were running straight gas 92 octane at about 4$ a gallon , my son "car owner" wants to use 93 octane gasohol. 602 motor. any difference?
We are a rookie team, 602 B-Mod. We have a good handle on gearing for different tracks, we think. We adjust stagger for track conditions so so , what do we need to look at next?

Got a friend of mine with a 604 on methanol. He had the carb leak down into the engine last night & Hydraulic the engine. Should I be thinking about putting a shut off on mine?

Struggling on starts and restarts. Running d98 fuel a 1/16th inch carb spacer ngk plugs . What should I do for more torque?

I run a street stock with a 355 cubic inch I have a Single pass radiator and I am over heating would a double pass 2 row 1” be better and keep me from over heating?
what are common mistakes people make when scaling a car?
A few episodes back you said you would rather have torque over horsepower. Would it be better to advance/retard the crankshaft on the torque side?
what are your thoughts on mixing pump 93 and 110?
Do you have any Hendren 602's race ready available?
why don't you zero lash the hyd lifters instead of 1/2 to 3/4 turn down?

on dirt I've been told to remove the two plugs on top of the intake manifold. I
