Debating the topic of how racism still exist in a country that claims it's better for colored folks.... more
March 07, 2026How racism still exists and what we need to do to get rid of itContrary to popular belief people feel that racism doesn't exist and the general public still doesn't have the tools or education to understand this egregious and painful subject. First let's begin by African Americans being stolen from a continent in Africa and being dragged in a boat that was not a cruise ship. Imagine watching your ancestors being raped sodomized and abused vehemently. Recently I frequented a donut shop that I have been going to for several years, the donuts are great and that's the only reason why I go. I experienced terrible customer service on several occasions. At one point using an EBT card was okay when you just needed a donut or something to drink, it changed where you had to have a certain amount that you had to spend to get service using an EBT card mind you not everyone has cash on their EBT some people just have strictly food stamps. As I calmly told the cashier that's not fair she had a bad attitude and did not care instead of being more kind and expressing professional customer service handed me my money aggressively and mumbled under her breath expletives. So on a different occasion the man that must have made the donuts came out when I got tired and finally said there's some racism going on in here because I've never seen other minorities being treated in the manner I was being treated because I frequented this particular donut shop quite regular and I mean maybe once or twice a month for years. So when I'm hearing on news channels or social media that racism seems to not be such a big problem or even not as aggressive as let's say the 60s or 50s, I have a huge problem with that. As a black woman with Indian heritage in my bloodline I feel double cheated, angry, misunderstood. Not only did I have to read in history how the native Americans land was taken from them and how they had to move to reservations that weren't as comfortable as other land and ownership where white people were given. I also had to hear my ancestors being called n****** colored people and other derogatory terms. This is a constant pain in my side a thorn in my crown because as a woman who believes in a spiritual and higher power I should not have to in 2026 endure the egregious cruelty of racism still....more1minPlay
