Meet Lauren Crocker!
This Radiant Conversation is another beauty from the 'vault', recorded way back in October 2021, during lockdown.
Before the covid days, you would find Lauren teaching some of the best power flow classes Radiant yogis could get their hands on.
In the early lockdown days, with a newborn baby (of which she now has two beautiful boys, showing how fast time does pass!) and an unknown sense of what was to come, Lauren and her family packed up for NZ to stay with the in-laws.
In this chat, Lauren and I talk about life. Life experience, life's ups and downs and ins and outs, and manifesting the life best lived.
Interested in human design and finding the utmost joy in living out her passions by creating a business, Lauren opens up about the realities of her mental health and how she's got by and manages it now. From anxieties as a child, panic attacks with change and pre and post-natal depression, Lauren shares what has helped her and how she continues to support her mental health, and share this with her son/s.
We also talk about feelings being there to be felt, the constant need to seek external validation and the pressures we put on ourselves and so much more.
Now based in Mangawhai, NZ, you can find Lauren on Instagram here.

Meet Alison Lasek!
Alison is a Radiant member, communication specialist and more recently, has become a top-notch Astrologer! Not only is Alison Radiant's resident astrologer, offering readings in our monthly email newsletter, but also the resident astrologer for Broadsheet! How neat!
Astrology has always been an interest of Alison's, and it was through her yoga practice at Radiant and beyond that helped her step into her new power.
In this episode, we talk about bringing a side hustle to life, as Alison transitions from full-time work life to being a professional astrologer. We talk about our favourite planets and what that means, we talk about how you don't need to visibly see the stars in order to receive their guidance.
We also talk about rituals you can do around all the moon cycles and how to negotiate successfully with fear.
You can follow Alison Lasek Astrology here and even listen to her podcast Joyful Sober here.
As Radiant's resident astrologer, Alison will be sharing Radiant Readings monthly through our email newsletters. Sign up here to learn more and receive special Radiant-only offerings.
Meet Lucie Hautruex!
Lucie is a Radiant Bestie and my co-host for our upcoming Bali Retreat this September 2022 (if you're listening in a timely fashion!).
By chance, Lucie came into my world a few months ago and we haven't left each other's world since. She came into the studio for a class, I started doing her "Date Your Finances" workshops. It's been a beautiful natural friendship and partnership, and I'm really excited to bring this Bali retreat to life with her this September, and not doubt, many more!
Originally from France and having lived in Bali for five years and a variety of other countries, Lucie moved to Sydney and Melbourne for love. Whilst things may not have worked out as planned, she knows there's a reason things happen – life is full of transitions, and it's ok to fail.
As a Life-Entrepreneur Coach, Business Strategist, and Finance Mentor, Lucie is living a life-by-design. Freedom and work on her terms. Leaning into her intuition, Lucie's work and life revolve around the idea that money is the tool, not the goal, cultivating a detachment to money.
We talk about the energy of money and the security of managing your finances; we talk about emotions getting in the way of big decisions and the narrative of other people's stories holding us back.
We talk about what Bali means to her, and of course we talk about our upcoming retreat to Bali – you'll find all the details here and if you want in, act quick! This is coming around soon and there are limited spots available!
You can find Lucie on socials here, where she'll help you to "Date Your Finances" and many other get-life-into-gear finance related things!

Meet Vivienne Law!
Vivienne is a Radiant teacher, holding meditation courses and offerings through the studio. If you're listening to this in real-time, her next offering is a 4-part meditation course called Meditation 101, starting Sunday 7th, August. You can find all the details here, but the quick gist is learning to hold space for yourself when meditating. Suitable for all levels, particularly beginners and those keen to hone in on their home practice.
Aside from the shameless plugging of the upcoming course, we talk about Vivienne's work as a mental health nurse and how that led her to find meditation. We talk about human design and how learning more about this helped shine a light on her personal development and awareness. We talk about how neat it is when you can confidently say, 'this is what I'm meant to be doing'. We talk about the struggles of meditating and showing up for yourself.
We also talk about having empathy and compassion, how we become what we think and simply enjoying the moment.
You can find Vivienne on Insight Timer here and her on IG here.
I'd also suggest signing up to our Radiant newsletter to stay up to date on any future Vivienne offerings!

Meet Caroline Moreau-Hammond!
A Radiant teacher and entrepreneur! Caroline and I sat down on a sunny Friday afternoon in September 2021 over Zoom during lockdown. Whilst we recorded this episode 10 months ago (oh boy, the time has flown by!!), the content is timeless and I really enjoyed listening to this episode again, in a non-lockdown mind-set.
Caroline joined Radiant not long before our first lockdown, and at the time of recording, she'd probably have taught more classes online with us than IRL! During lockdown, her Thursday afternoon Yin & Nidra was what kept me going, and to this day, with in-person classes, it's one of the most regular classes or activities I do each week – which is nice to see that I'm still carving out that time for myself each week.
Having grown up with yoga teachers and practitioners in the family, becoming a teacher herself came naturally to her and offered a nice balance to the work and lifestyle she has created.
In July 2021, Caroline launched her business, Becuming – personalised sex toys delivered straight to your door. Helping to break down the taboos, traditions and turns-ons that come with the industry with Becuming, Caroline also launched the must-listen-to podcast, The Philosophy of Sex. No judgement, no shade, no wrong answers.
We talk about how her love of yoga started from hot yoga beginnings and has since changed to slower, restorative practices; creating space for your truth and how pace impacts her life; the art of pushing through resistance and the weighting of self-doubt vs empowerment, and so, so much more.
I highly recommend tuning into The Philosophy of Sex and giving Becuming a follow on Insta.

Meet Caroline Vizec!
Caroline is a Radiant teacher who looks after our Saturday morning classes and our Sunday afternoon Prenatal class – the most nourishing class in the house, if I dare say!
The joy of movement has played a big role in Caroline's personal life and line of work over the years, so becoming a yoga teacher was a very natural progression for her.
As a big fan of study, Caroline is qualified in quite a lot of yoga, alternative and holistic practices, which all come together to create a beutaful offering when she holds space in a room.
We talk about doing things for pleasure, like searching for four leaf clovers and gardening – finding comfort in the environment. We talk about about the benefits of her breathing practices, and how they can be entertaining!
We also talk about a life-changing health diagnosis which shifted her thinking and got her living in the present.
You can follow Caroline on IG here.
I hope you enjoy this chat with Caroline as much as I did. I first met Caroline a few years ago in a YTT with Leonie, and I'm now truly touched that she's part of the RSY fam. I love how wonderfully organic life can be.
Enjoy

Meet Lucy Rash!
Lucy is a Radiant member and a very special person in my life. As the studio owner, Lucy was one of the first people I really got to know when I took over the studio a few years ago, so it's just really nice to sit down and chat like this.
Nothing is more worth Lucy's time than her practice. It's a non-negotiable. But she honours the flexibility that 'it' can change day to day.
Lucy has a deep respect and love for her teachers and talks to how they have shaped her story in the few short years that she's been dedicated to her practice.
As a fellow multiple-hat wearer and fingers-in-pies person, Yoga has created some Truths for Lucy. It's carved out the space she needed to make some big decisions in life.
Lucy plays the violin and has been part of symphonies and the arts scene all her life. You may even remember we collaborated a couple years ago on a juicy yin and violin evening at the studio.
One of the never-ending talented hats Lucy wears, is her own Content Design business, Cult Copy – creating words, programming, representation and innovation for creatives and creative industries.
She also shared some exciting news here! OMG this is exciting, I'm all for it. I won't go into too much detail, but for more information on her big announcement, you can check in with Gasworks Arts Park here.
Thanks for the chats, Lucy. Big love to you and I can't wait to watch more magic unfold. You can find Lucy on IG here.

A big hello to Nicholas Fischer!
A self proclaimed yoga MC, anatomist and cheerleader all in the space of a 60 minute class, Nick is a one-to-watch Radiant teacher and a breath enthusiast! Have you read James Nestors' Breath? Both Nick and I highly recommend it.
From challenging assumptions to ego control, making peace with slowing down to encouraging boredom, my chat with Nick is deep and expansive, just like a breathing technique.
With the intention of making do with the practice you have, Nick's learned a self-awareness and an ability to work with his anxieties, acknowledging they're there, but not entertaining them.
We leave things on a note of not taking things so personally, which I love and need reminding from time to time, and time again.
You can follow Nick on Instagram here. And if you fancy learning how to breathe with Nick, he's created a mini course over on our online yoga studio, where he'll take you through the foundations through to the practices of breathing well.

Say hello to Leonie Lockwood!
Leonie is a Radiant teacher, who looks after our Friday afternoon and evenings In Port Melbourne, with yummy Slow Flow and Yin classes to finish off the week. More than just teaching yoga, Leonie also holds retreats, and is a yoga teacher trainer, teaching the teachers!
From starting yoga as a little tacker with her mum, Leonie shares what yoga means to her and how it's played a huge role in her life, more than just something that pays the bills.
We talk about kindness, or the lack of kindness that presents itself through life. We talk about how her practice has changed over the years, and how she almost tricks herself into the practice when she's avoiding it. We talk about slowing down, about boundaries and acceptance.
You can find out more about Leonie on her Instagram here.
Better yet, you can join Leonie's online yoga classes here, too!
