🧭 Have you ever asked AI for help, only to feel something was “off” about the answers you received?
✨ You’re not imagining it.
Most AI systems learn from data rooted in a patriarchal worldview—but they don’t tell you that.
When you ask for data on health, leadership, or productivity, AI pulls from studies, frameworks, and historical patterns that were built on male-centric perspectives.
But it doesn’t pause to say:
“By the way, these studies were done on men.”“This data may not fully apply to you.”“These frameworks were designed around masculine priorities.”
So, you move forward in your project, business, or personal growth using skewed data—unaware that it’s incomplete.
💗 An Example That Costs Lives
When women report heart attack symptoms, they are often dismissed because medical studies have historically been done on men.
AI doesn’t tell you this. It simply reports what it has learned:
“The classic symptoms of a heart attack are chest pain, arm pain, and shortness of breath.”
Meanwhile, women often experience nausea, back pain, and fatigue—signs that get ignored.
Lives are lost, not because women are wrong, but because the data is incomplete.
🐠 We Are Fish Asking, “What’s Water?”
This is what it means to swim in patriarchal water.
We live in systems so deeply shaped by masculine-centric thinking that we mistake them for universal truth.
Your nervous system feels this—every time you receive AI answers that don’t resonate, feel incomplete, or overlook your wisdom.
✨ You’re not overreacting. You’re sensing the hidden bias in the water you swim in.
🌊 The Bigger Crisis
At the 2009 Vancouver Peace Summit, the Dalai Lama said:
“The world will be saved by the Western woman.”
Because women like you have the education, resources, and freedom to lead with compassion, to push for win/win solutions, to prioritize collaboration over competition.
Yet the very technology that could amplify your wisdom is programmed using data that ignores it.
This is not just a “women in tech” issue. It’s about whether the systems shaping our world can recognize:
🌿 Collaborative leadership over dominance🌿 Win/win solutions over zero-sum thinking🌿 Emotional intelligence alongside analytics🌿 Care and sustainability alongside profit
🔍 The Cultural Hijacker Hiding in Plain Sight
I call this the Patriarchal Cultural Bias Hijacker.
It whispers:
🩶 “That’s just how tech works.”🩶 “I’m not technical enough to question AI.”🩶 “Data is neutral, so it must be true.”🩶 “I should just adapt to the system.”
✨ But what if your discomfort is wisdom?✨ What if your nervous system is detecting the absence of feminine wisdom in the data shaping your world?
💫 What Becomes Possible
When conscious women recognize this hidden bias:
✅ We become AI collaborators, not passive users✅ We ask for context, not just data✅ We insist on care, collaboration, and sustainability in our tech use✅ We teach algorithms to see feminine wisdom alongside masculine logic
This is sacred work—shifting the systems we live in toward balance and truth.
If This Resonates 🌀
You might be part of the movement the Dalai Lama predicted:
✨ Women who sense the urgency of bringing feminine wisdom to masculine-dominant systems✨ Women ready to stop adapting to biased technology and start influencing it✨ Women who recognize their discomfort as wisdom, not inadequacy
Your nervous system isn't overreacting to AI bias. It's detecting the absence of something essential.
This is what Feminine Power Circles is about - recognizing when systems have been hijacked by fear-based thinking, and remembering the balanced perspective our world desperately needs.

✨ When having it all still leaves you empty, what’s next? ✨
Melinda French Gates had everything.
💰 Billions of dollars.🌍 Global influence.💼 A marriage to one of the world's most powerful men.🤝 A foundation changing millions of lives.
So why did she walk away from it all?
In her new book, The Next Day: Transitions, Change, and Moving Forward, Melinda reveals a truth successful women are whispering about in corner offices and boardrooms:
Having everything and feeling empty is the secret epidemic of our time.
My Boardroom Moment 💼
Fifteen years ago, I had a six-figure job in corporate America. Good salary, respected title, all the markers of success my younger self had dreamed about.
But I was dying inside.
In endless meetings, I’d think, “Is this it? Is this what I worked so hard for?” I felt like I was suffocating in a beautifully appointed prison.
Then came the day that changed everything.
The day I got called into the boardroom with the SVP and VP, it was clinical, cold: “We are experiencing a reduction in force. We have to let you go.”
Three of thirteen of us on the executive team lost our jobs that day.
But after the shock subsided, I felt… relief.
I didn’t hunt for another corporate position. I chose to walk away.
Because I finally realized:
The biggest risk wasn’t leaving. It was staying trapped in empty success that was killing my soul.
What I’m Seeing 🌊
Here’s what I witness in almost every woman I meet:
💡 You’re in the boardroom making another decision, and suddenly think, “There has to be more than this.”🏆 You’ve climbed every ladder, broken every glass ceiling, achieved everything you thought you wanted. But instead of fulfillment, there’s emptiness.
At 3 a.m., you wonder: “I have everything I thought I wanted. Why do I feel so lost?”
If that’s you, you are not broken.
What I Think Is Really Happening 🔍
We became incredibly good at playing a game that was never designed for our spirits to thrive.
We learned to succeed by becoming someone else—suppressing our intuition, collaboration, cyclical wisdom, and desire for relatedness to “make it” in systems built for conquest, not connection.
And we can feel it, can’t we?
🌍 The same systems we’ve succeeded in are burning out people and the planet, creating endless wars, and rewarding a few while leaving many behind.
That restlessness you feel? It’s not failure.
✨ It’s your soul calling you home to yourself, and calling you to help heal what is broken in our world. ✨
The Pattern I Keep Seeing 🪞
Women tell me:
“I have everything but feel like I’m performing my own life.”“I’m successful but disconnected from my purpose.”“I broke every glass ceiling but lost myself in the process.”
What if that emptiness is not failure, but awakening?
What if your soul is telling you:
🌸 You don’t have to choose between being successful and being yourself.
What I’m Discovering Is Possible 💫
The women I work with are remembering:
💡 They can lead from their whole selves—intuition and analytics, heart and strategy, collaboration and decisiveness.
💡 They can be successful and authentic.
💡 They can access their full power—not just the parts deemed “acceptable” in a man’s world.
I call this work The Great Remembering, and it’s changing everything for women brave enough to try.
I’m still on this journey too. Every day, I learn to lead from both my strategy and my soul. It’s not about perfection—it’s about presence.
If This Resonates 🌀
You might be part of something I see happening globally:
✨ Successful women, tired of performing a version of themselves that feels false.✨ Women sensing they are meant for more than just climbing higher.✨ Women ready to use their success to create real change, starting with themselves.
If you’re reading this thinking, “She’s describing exactly how I feel,” I see you.
Your emptiness isn’t failure. It’s making space for a more authentic you to emerge.
Your restlessness is your soul preparing you for the work you came here to do.
This is what Feminine Power Circles is about—transforming empty success into authentic power.

Dear Beautiful Soul,
I work with successful women who have everything they thought they wanted but feel spiritually empty.
I keep seeing the same pattern: we learned to survive and succeed by suppressing our feminine power.
But surviving isn't enough anymore.
It's time to move from surviving to creating—creating the balanced world we actually want to live in.
Over the past few months, Survivalista has been a space for women learning to "survive with soul" in a chaotic world.
And while that work remains important, I've discovered the roots go much deeper.
✨ It is time to move from surviving to thriving.✨ It is time to reclaim our feminine power, not only for ourselves but for a world that desperately needs the balance we bring.
Why Feminine Power Circles?
I've been confronted lately on many fronts by the problems people all over the world are experiencing due to the enormous imbalance between masculine and feminine power.
Every individual—male or female—has both, much like a battery has a feminine end and a masculine end. The energy does not flow properly without both. Our world is reflecting to us the destructive effects of this imbalance.
There is only one fundamental correction: to bring the feminine power aspect of ourselves back into the world.
Ultimately, men need to birth this balance within themselves as well. But many men are not yet experiencing this imbalance as acutely as women are.
Therefore, women need to go first and allow their feminine power leadership to come into the world.
✨ The world needs women who are ready to reclaim their radiance, intuition, and emotional sovereignty.✨ Women who are ready to lead from love, restore balance, and embody a new way of living.
Feminine Power Circles will be a sanctuary for this work.
Here, we will learn together:✅ What true feminine power is (and how it differs from masculine power)✅ How to restore balance within ourselves so we can bring it to our families, communities, and the world✅ How to reclaim our radiant presence, emotional resilience, and soul-aligned leadership
Think of it this way: instead of pushing through that difficult conversation with force, you listen deeply first, then respond from both wisdom and strength.
Instead of hustling harder when you're overwhelmed, you pause, tune into your intuition, and take aligned action.
This is feminine power in practice—and the world needs more of it.
What Will Change?
🌿 The name of this newsletter will shift to Feminine Power Circles🌿 The heart of this space will remain the same: soul-connected, practical, and sacred🌿 We will be focusing on how feminine power can help us thrive, lead, and contribute to the creation of Heaven on Earth
Introducing Feministas 🌸
We are not doing this alone.
As we step into this next chapter, I invite you to see yourself as a Feminista—a woman reclaiming her feminine power to heal herself and seed healing in the world.
Together, as Feministas, we will explore:
✨ Reclaiming radiance while living in a masculine-dominated world✨ Emotional mastery and nervous system sovereignty✨ Leadership that flows from soul, not hustle✨ Relationships built on authenticity, not fear✨ Practical ways to live our feminine power every day
Soul Tech Tools Continue: Our newsletters—both free and paid—will continue offering AI prompts and systematic practices to help you integrate everything we explore. Think of this as your personal transformation assistant, helping you apply feminine power principles to your real-life situations and relationships.

"You think your problem is being too nice. Or not having boundaries. Or caring too much about what people think. It's not. Your problem is that the People-Pleaser Hijacker disconnected you from your right to have needs when you were too small to understand what was happening. It’s time to come home to your true self." — Kristin van Tilburg
If you're the woman who says yes to everything because you're terrified of being seen as selfish, this is for you.
If you've built a reputation as the reliable one but secretly resent everyone who depends on you...
If you keep saying "I'm fine" when you're drowning because asking for help feels impossible...
🔥 Here's What I Know About You...
You pride yourself on being the reliable one. The one who shows up. The one who never lets anyone down.
Your calendar is packed with commitments you made with a smile while your soul was screaming "NO."
Whether you're the woman who says yes to every volunteer opportunity because "good mothers are involved" (like Reese Witherspoon's character in Big Little Lies - perfect on the outside, chaos on the inside)...
Or the woman who built a successful career by never saying no to extra projects, but now you're so burned out you can't remember why any of it mattered...
Or the woman who maintains friendships that drain you because you're terrified of being seen as "difficult" or "selfish"...
These women all have the same wound: disconnection from your right to have needs.
You tell yourself you're being kind, generous, a good person. But here's what's really happening:
Your motivation is not kindness at all. You're being controlled by the People-Pleaser Hijacker.
The People-Pleaser Hijacker - that voice of fear inside you - has convinced you that your worth depends on your availability to others. It whispers urgent lies like:
* "If you say no, they'll think you're selfish"
* "Good people don't have limits"
* "Your needs don't matter as much as theirs"
* "If you disappoint them, they'll stop loving you"
* "Everyone else would say yes to this"
So you say yes. And yes. And yes again. All while your authentic self gets smaller and quieter.
⚔️ Here's What This Pattern Is Costing You...
While you're busy being everyone's savior, you're becoming a stranger to yourself. You're so disconnected from your own needs that you don't even know what they are anymore.
The real cost? You're teaching everyone around you that your time, energy, and well-being are negotiable.
You're training them to see you as infinitely available, while you slowly disappear behind a mask of endless accommodation.
Some of you learned this early - maybe your love felt conditional on being "good" and never causing problems. So you learned: my needs are dangerous to express.
Others learned it later - you discovered that saying yes opened doors, created opportunities, made you indispensable.
But the People-Pleaser Hijacker turned your generosity into a prison.
Different paths. Same problem. You've lost that vital connection to your own inner wisdom.
And here's the kicker: You're not actually helping anyone.
When you say yes but mean no, you show up resentful, exhausted, and half-present. You're giving everyone the worst version of yourself while calling it "kindness."
The People-Pleaser Hijacker always leads to the same place: looking helpful on the outside, but desperate longing for someone to care about YOUR needs on the inside.
🌟 Here's What Survivalistas Do Differently...
Survivalistas understand something that people-pleasers don't: Authentic kindness requires boundaries.
When a Survivalista feels that familiar pressure to say yes, she doesn't immediately respond. She pauses. She checks in with her authentic self, not the People-Pleaser Hijacker's panic about approval.
She asks: "Do I have the genuine energy and desire to show up fully for this?"
Not "Can I squeeze this in?" or "What will they think if I say no?" but "Can I give this my authentic yes?"
And here's what happens: When she says no, she says it with love and clarity. No elaborate excuses. No apologizing for having limits. Just honest communication about her capacity.
When she says yes, she means it. She shows up present, energized, and genuinely helpful because she's not secretly resenting the person who asked.
Survivalistas have learned to distinguish between the People-Pleaser Hijacker's urgent whispers and their authentic self's calm knowing.
Real Talk: The No That Changed Everything
I used to be the queen of resentful yeses. I'd commit to things I didn't want to do, then spend the entire time feeling angry at the other person for "making me" do it.
The turning point came when I realized: They weren't making me do anything. I was choosing to betray myself and then blaming them for it.
The first time I said, "I don't have the bandwidth for that right now, but I hope you find someone who can give it the attention it deserves," I was terrified. I was sure they'd hate me.
Instead, they thanked me for being honest. They respected my boundary. And our relationship actually got stronger because I stopped showing up as a resentful, half-present version of myself.
The Hijacker's Favorite Lies About Boundaries
The Hijacker tells you:
* "Good people don't say no"
* "If you set boundaries, you'll be alone"
* "Your needs don't matter as much as theirs"
* "Saying no means you're selfish"
Your authentic self knows:
* "Boundaries are acts of love for everyone involved"
* "The right people respect your limits"
* "Your needs matter just as much as anyone else's"
* "Saying no to the wrong things makes space for the right things"
Soul Tech Preview: The Authentic Yes/No Detection System
Here's what's happening: The Hijacker has hijacked your decision-making process. It's making choices based on fear rather than authenticity.
Quick People-Pleaser Detection Practice:
Next time someone asks something of you, pause and ask:
* Am I saying yes because I want to, or because I'm afraid to say no?
* What would I choose if I weren't worried about their reaction?
* Am I trying to control their opinion of me by saying yes?
* What would my authentic self say if the Hijacker weren't screaming?
The Hijacker will always sound panicked and urgent. Examples:
* "You HAVE to say yes or they'll think you're terrible"
* "Everyone else would say yes to this"
* "If you say no, they'll never ask you again"
Your authentic self will feel calm and clear.
Examples:
* "I can see this isn't aligned for me right now"
* "I want to honor my capacity so I can show up fully when I do say yes"
* "I trust that honest communication strengthens relationships"
* "My heart knows what's right for me"
Most women discover they've been saying yes to things they don't want to do for years, wondering why they feel so resentful and exhausted.
If you can barely tell the difference between your authentic yes and your fear-based yes, you're not broken - you're normal.
This is what happens when the People-Pleaser Hijacker has been running your social interactions for years.
But recognizing the People-Pleaser Hijacker is just the first step.
Learning to consistently choose your authentic response over the fear-based one? That takes systematic practice, daily check-ins, and someone who can see your blind spots when the Hijacker has been running the show for decades.
🛠️ Soul Tech Tool: Quick People-Pleaser Detection
Copy this into ChatGPT, Claude, or any AI assistant:
"Help me identify when my 'People-Pleaser Hijacker' is running the show versus my authentic self. The People-Pleaser Hijacker is the fear voice that convinced me my worth depends on my availability to others. It sounds helpful and urgent but always leads to resentment and exhaustion.
Current situation I'm facing: [Describe a recent request or decision you're struggling with]
Help me: 1. Is this People-Pleaser energy or authentic generosity? 2. What would the Hijacker tell me to do (and why)? 3. What would my authentic self choose (and how would that feel different)? 4. Give me one loving way to honor my truth in this situation
Please help me distinguish between real kindness and fear-based accommodation."
If this is what the free preview looks like, imagine what becomes possible with the complete system...
💫 The Real Question
Which voice are you going to let guide your relationships moving forward?
The People-Pleaser Hijacker who keeps you exhausted, resentful, and disconnected from your own needs?
Or the voice of your authentic self that calls you toward genuine connection, mutual respect, and relationships that actually energize you?
If you're ready to stop letting the fear of disapproval drive your life, if you're done being everyone's endless resource while your own well runs dry, if you recognize this pattern for what it is and want to learn to choose authenticity over accommodation...
Let's talk.
Because the women who learn to hear their authentic voice above the People-Pleaser's panic? They don't just survive their relationships - they transform them. And they change the world by modeling what genuine kindness actually looks like.

I want to see this pattern with clarity, not judgment.

I typically say yes when I mean no in these situations: [be specific]

Or the woman who succeeded but lost yourself in the process (like Grace Kelly choosing the fairy tale over her passion)...
Or the woman who achieves but burns out because "having it all" is nothing if you don't feel fulfilled by what you are spending the precious minutes of your life doing (like Jamie Kern Lima walking away from being CEO of her cosmetic empire)...
We all have the same wound: disconnection from the voice that knows.
That voice of fear that hijacks your nervous system? It's been running the show since you were a child. Creating powerful neural pathways that were designed to keep you safe but now keep you disconnected from the only place you are ever truly safe... your authentic self.
🧠 THE VOICE THAT IS HIJACKING YOUR LIFE
The Hijacker's voice sounds like:
* "I'm not good enough"
* "I'm too much"
* "I'm a failure"
* "Nobody cares about me"
* "They don't want what I have to offer"
* "I have to please them so they'll like me"
Here's what that Hijacker really is: A protective adaptation your child-brain created when love felt conditional and living felt dangerous.
Your nervous system learned to shout warnings to keep you safe. But now those same warnings keep you from the life your soul so deeply yearns for.
💫 THE VOICE YOU WERE TRAINED TO IGNORE 💫
Your soul's voice - the one that whispers while fear shouts - has been quietly guiding you home your entire life... back to LOVE, back to connection, back to joy.
It sounds like:
* "This lights me up in a way nothing else does"
* "I'm ready for something new"
* "Something beautiful wants to emerge through me"
* "This doesn't feel like me anymore"
* "My heart knows the way"
But you've been taught to listen to everything except that quiet knowing.
⚔️ THE HIGH COST OF LISTENING TO THE HIJACKER ⚔️
Some of you learned early (like I did) to abandon anything that might not be perfect. My dad's response to straight A's was "Why no A+s?" So I learned: quit before you can really fail.
I've abandoned brilliant business ideas, beautiful brands, sacred callings - all because the Hijacker convinced me "this path is dangerous."
Others learned later - you built beautiful success but the Hijacker told you work more, don't stop, keep going no matter that your heart was craving real connection and your body was starved for deep soul-level nourishment.
Different paths. Same problem. You've lost that vital connection to your own inner wisdom.
No matter what the Hijacker says, that voice always leads to the same place: survival on the outside, but desperate longing for something more on the inside.
🌟 HERE'S WHAT'S TRUE 🌟
Your soul knows exactly what it wants. But your choices have been hijacked by neural pathways that were carved when you were very young and vulnerable.
These aren't "negative thoughts" you can just think your way out of. They're neurological survival programs that require patience, compassion, and the right support to rewire.
Surviving with soul is the only path that leads to joy and fulfillment. Everything else leads to more hiding, more burnout, more pretending to be someone you're not.
💝 THE WOMEN I WORK WITH ARE DONE WITH THIS 💝
They learn to identify the Hijacker's voice and say "Not this time!"
Then they take a few deep breaths and reconnect to the safety and warmth of the authentic self.
They're ready to build something that feeds their soul. This satisfies them much more deeply than adding to their bank account or polishing their image.
They're ready to be seen for who they truly ARE, not who someone told them they SHOULD be in order to succeed.
They're ready to become true Survivalistas - to survive with soul.
🛠️ SOUL TECH PREVIEW: CATCH THE HIJACKER IN ACTION 🛠️
Here's what's happening: The Hijacker - that voice of fear that hijacked your nervous system in childhood to keep you safe - is so sneaky, most women don't even realize when it's running the show. You think those urgent, protective thoughts ARE your intuition.
The Hijacker was your child-brain's brilliant protective adaptation, but now it keeps you disconnected from your authentic self and living in survival mode instead of soul mode.
Quick Hijacker Detection Practice:
Next time you're about to make any decision (what to post, whether to apply for something, how to respond to a difficult person), pause and ask:
* "Is this the Hijacker talking or my authentic self?"
* "Does this choice move me toward joy or toward fear?"
* "Am I choosing from love or from anxiety about of what might happen?"
* "Does this feel spacious and knowing, or urgent and reactive?"
The Hijacker will always sound urgent, protective, and "logical." It might say things like:
* "This is too risky - what will people think?"
* "You're not ready yet - do more research first"
* "This isn't working - try something else"
* "Don't get your hopes up - you'll just be disappointed"
Your authentic self will feel spacious, knowing, and sometimes a little scary (because it calls you toward growth). It might whisper:
* "This lights me up - let's try it"
* "I'm ready to be seen"
* "This feels aligned with who I really am"
* "Something beautiful wants to emerge here"
Most women discover they've been letting the Hijacker make 90% of their decisions.
If you can barely tell the difference between these voices anymore, you're not broken - you're normal. This is what happens when protective patterns run the show for decades.
But recognizing the Hijacker is just the first step. Learning to consistently choose your authentic self over the Hijacker? That takes a systematic approach, daily practices, and someone who can see your blind spots when the Hijacker has been running the show for a long time.
💫 THE REAL QUESTION 💫
Which voice are you going to let guide your life moving forward?
The Hijacker who keeps you disconnected, small, and exhausted?
Or the voice of your authentic self that calls you toward joy, fulfillment, and genuine expression?
Here's what I know: Trying to figure this out alone is what got you disconnected in the first place.
If you're ready to stop letting fear drive your life, if you're done building beautiful prisons instead of authentic joy, if you recognize this scary disconnection for what it is and want to learn to be guided by the voice of LOVE...
Let's talk.
Because the women who learn to hear their soul's whisper above fear's shout? They don't just survive - they survive with soul. And they change the world by being unapologetically themselves.
Your soul is waiting for this monumental reconnection. The question is: are you ready?
❤️ READY HEART: RECONNECTING TO LOVE'S VOICE ❤️
Heart Practice: Emergency Reconnection When the Hijacker has completely taken over:
* STOP - Do not make decisions when hijacked
* GROUND - Feel your feet, your breath, your heartbeat
* NAME IT - "The Hijacker is running the show right now"
* BREATHE - Until your nervous system remembers you're safe
* RECONNECT - "What does LOVE want here? What would bring me joy?"
* CHOOSE - One small step toward authenticity
* TRUST - Your authentic self knows the way, even when the Hijacker disagrees
💎 SURVIVALISTA INSIGHTS 💎
* The voice of fear was designed to protect you as a child, but now it limits your adult life
* Your authentic self isn't fragile - it's the strongest, most resilient part of you

* Most women discover they've been letting the Hijacker make 90% of their decisions
* Surviving with soul requires choosing your authentic voice over the protective Hijacker
* Your soul's whisper contains more wisdom than your mind's shouts

Copy this into ChatGPT or Claude:
"I need to identify how my specific 'Hijacker' operates so I can stop letting it run my life. The Hijacker is what I call the voice of fear that hijacked my nervous system in childhood - it's the protective adaptation my child-brain created to keep me safe, but now it keeps me disconnected from my authentic self and limits my life.
The Hijacker sounds urgent, logical, and protective, but it always leads to the same place: survival on the outside but desperate longing on the inside. It might tell me to quit before I can fail, or work harder no matter the cost, or hide to stay safe, or please others to be loved.
I want to see this pattern with clarity, not judgment.
My Hijacker gets loudest when: [What situations make the protective voice scream? Visibility? Conflict? Success? Failure?]
The Hijacker's favorite lies about me: [What does it repeatedly tell you about your worth, safety, or capabilities?]
How my Hijacker sabotages my success: [Does it make you quit? Overwork? Hide? People-please?]
When I listen to the Hijacker, I end up: [Feeling exhausted? Resentful? Invisible? Burned out?]
Help me: - Name my Hijacker's specific strategy for keeping me 'safe' but small - Show me exactly how this pattern formed in childhood - Identify the exact moments when I can catch it in action - Give me a custom 'override phrase' to use when I recognize it - Help me distinguish between real danger and Hijacker false alarms - Create a practice for choosing my authentic self instead

✨ WELCOME, SURVIVALISTA SISTERS ✨
"Forgiveness is the greatest form of self-love because it allows you to leave the anger behind and move forward." — Elizabeth Smart
What if I told you that forgiveness isn't about letting someone else off the hook—it's about letting YOU off the hook?
What if the very act of holding onto anger and resentment is actually using your most precious resource—your life force—to keep yourself imprisoned in someone else's choices?
What if freedom isn't something that happens to you, but something you choose through how you frame your experience?
Today, we're exploring one of the most misunderstood concepts in personal healing: forgiveness as the ultimate choice that frames your experience as freedom rather than imprisonment.
🔥 THIS WEEK'S DEEP DIVE: FRAMING FREEDOM THROUGH CHOICE 🔥
I recently listened to Elizabeth Smart share her extraordinary story of survival and transformation. Kidnapped at 14, enduring nine months of unspeakable trauma, Elizabeth made a choice that changed everything: she chose to frame her experience as the beginning of her freedom, not the end of her life.
But what struck me most wasn't just her survival—it was her understanding of forgiveness as the choice that frames your entire future.
As Survivalistas, we understand that we are equipped from within with the most powerful force in the universe: LOVE.
This is the creative power that formed you in your mother's womb and continues to beat your heart and breathe your breath.
The question is: how are you choosing to frame your experience? Are you using your LOVE-power to create freedom or to maintain imprisonment?
📚 SURVIVE WITH SOUL STORY: THE MIDNIGHT PHONE CALL 📚
Elizabeth's words about forgiveness took me back to my own moment of choosing freedom over imprisonment—though my prison was very different from hers.
I was 20 years old, married to my college sweetheart for just 14 months, when the phone rang in the middle of the night. I heard him making a deal to buy cocaine.
When he hung up, I asked what was happening. He told me he had used cocaine at a math study party and now couldn't think about anything else. Then he said the words that shattered my world: "I won't give it up."
My heart broke completely. The next morning, I moved back to my parents' house.
In that moment, I faced the same choice Elizabeth would face years later in much more extreme circumstances: How would I frame this experience?
Would I let someone else's choices determine the quality of my life moving forward, or would I choose to frame this betrayal as my pathway to freedom?
Here's what I discovered about forgiveness that Elizabeth articulates so beautifully: forgiveness is how you frame your experience to set yourself free.
Yes, you shift your focus away from blaming the offending party. But forgiveness isn't about them at all - it's about a profound discovery that most people can't imagine when they're in the depths of pain.
When you're in the messy middle of trauma recovery, you may feel completely broken, maybe even shattered. You may not be able to imagine ever feeling whole again. This is completely natural and valid - the hurt is real, the damage feels total.
But forgiveness happens when you find your way to a higher plane of seeing what happened. You discover that there's a part of you, your soul essence, that remained whole and connected to LOVE even while the trauma was occurring.
This sounds impossible when you're broken open by pain.
But this recognition is how you take your power back - not by ensuring consequences for the offender, but by discovering the part of yourself that is eternally whole. This is the unique expression of LOVE that you always are, no matter what circumstances life throws at you.
While your body and heart experienced real trauma, your deepest self - your connection to LOVE - remained untouched.
Finding your essential wholeness can't be rushed or forced.
But when it comes, it changes everything.
In return, you get your life back.
You use your power in every choice.
Are you going to choose to frame your experience as empowerment and freedom, or are you going to use that same power to frame yourself as a victim locked in the prison of the past?
🧠 READY MIND: FRAMING YOUR EXPERIENCE FOR FREEDOM 🧠
As Survivalistas, we understand that LOVE is the source of all power.
When you choose to frame your experience through the lens of past pain and trauma, you are sending your power to the source of that pain rather than using it to create your own life here and now.
Life is a tough love school. We all endure traumatic circumstances.
But how we choose to frame those experiences determines whether they become prisons or pathways to freedom.
When you focus the power of your LOVE on learning the spiritual lessons that are always waiting for you, the trauma is redeemed by LOVE.
The lesson I learned from my husband's betrayal was profound:
LOVE can't be turned off and on.
LOVE underlies every connection.
Once the LOVE connection is established, it can't be disconnected.
But we have the choice to shut ourselves down to the LOVE.
This choice—which can only be made by the individual—determines the quality of your life moving forward.
Here's the crucial understanding: You can't shut yourself down to some LOVE and not other LOVE.
There is only one LOVE.
You are either receptive to it, or you shut yourself off from it.
A note about attachment vs. LOVE:
There's a vast difference between LOVE and codependent attachment.
Attachment can be turned on and off. When people divorce, they may have said "I love you" in the past and now say "I don't love you anymore."
When this happens, the connection wasn't a true LOVE connection in the first place—it was attachment, need, or dependency.
True LOVE—the creative force that sustains all life—doesn't diminish or disappear based on someone's actions.
It's the recognition of the sacred essence in another being. You can choose to protect yourself from someone's harmful behavior while still holding them in LOVE.
Forgiveness could be called a return to LOVE.
The traumatic acts, the betrayal—that remains the perpetrator's lesson to learn, unless I shut myself off from LOVE. That is my choice.
This lesson comes in infinite forms in life's tough love school, but the choice is always the same: LOVE connection, or disconnection.
💪 READY HANDS: PRACTICAL FREEDOM FRAMING 💪
The Freedom Framing Assessment:
* How are you currently framing your experience? Are you seeing yourself as a victim of circumstances, or as someone choosing freedom through how you interpret what happened?
* Where is your life force going? Are you sending your creative energy backward to old pain, or forward to building your life now?
* What story are you telling about your experience? Is it a story of permanent damage, or one of transformation and growth?
The Freedom Choice Practice:
When you catch yourself framing an experience as imprisonment, ask: "How can I choose to frame this as my pathway to freedom instead?"
❤️ READY HEART: RECOGNIZING YOUR CHOICE ❤️
How do you know when your trauma has been transformed into wisdom and strength? You know because you chose to frame it as freedom. Until you recognize that you have the power to choose how you frame your experience, the lesson is not complete.
The awareness of the LOVE and the freedom to choose may happen over time, but the moment you recognize your power to frame your experience—that's when the prison door opens.
Heart Practice:
Place your hand on your heart and say:
"I choose to frame my experience through LOVE rather than through pain. I choose to direct my LOVE-power toward creating my life, not reliving my hurt. I choose to frame my story as one of freedom, not imprisonment."

🌈 UNTIL NEXT TIME 🌈
Remember, Survivalista Sisters: forgiveness isn't about excusing what was done to you. It's about loving yourself enough to not let that pain define your life.
You are equipped from within with the most powerful force in the universe—LOVE. The question is not whether you have the power to heal and move forward. The question is: will you choose to use that power for your freedom or your imprisonment?
Like Elizabeth Smart, like every woman who has chosen to transform trauma into triumph, you have the power to take your life back.
You are so powerful. You are much stronger than you think you are.
With deep recognition of your unbreakable LOVE-power,
Sometimes the bravest thing isn't staying—it's honoring what you know
✨ WELCOME, SURVIVALISTA SISTERS ✨
"I believed that if I just worked hard enough, cared deeply enough, stayed long enough—I could make it all work. But sometimes what's needed isn't more effort. It's the courage to walk away."
— Melinda French Gates, The Next Day
What if I told you that the moment you stop trying to fix what's fundamentally broken isn't giving up—but finally listening to the truth you've always known?
Sometimes our greatest act of love—for ourselves and others—is having the courage to admit what we know, even when it calls us to do something painful?
Today, we're exploring the profound difference between working harder and walking away, and why your deepest knowing often requires the greatest courage to honor.
🔥 THIS WEEK'S DEEP DIVE: THE COURAGE TO HONOR YOUR KNOWING 🔥
Melinda's from the quote words emerged from a chapter in her new book reflecting on the quiet unraveling of her marriage—years of believing that partnership, shared mission, and the redemptive power of love and effort could overcome any obstacle.
She describes sacrificing her emotional truth to maintain appearances, putting in immense effort to preserve something that was no longer mutual, watching her sense of self slowly erode beneath the weight of "shoulds."
But then she reached a moment of awakening: no amount of working harder, caring more, or staying longer would change the fundamental misalignment that had emerged.
She realized that staying wasn't the only honorable choice. Leaving was honorable too.
But here's what strikes me most profoundly about her journey—and what I see over and over in my work with successful women:
The challenge wasn't in knowing. She always knew. The challenge was in admitting what she knew, especially when her knowing called her to do something painful.
📚 SURVIVE WITH SOUL: THE TRUTH I KNEW AT 19 📚
I want to share a story from my own life that taught me this distinction between knowing and admitting what we know.
I was raised in a family where failing was not an option. I married young—only 19—and 14 months into our marriage, the phone rang at 2 AM.
I heard my husband negotiating a drug deal with money that I had brought into the marriage.
I was horrified. I didn't know anything about this.
After he got off the phone, he explained that the guys in his math study group were using cocaine to make studying easier. He tried it. He said he never felt so great in his life. He told me he couldn't live without cocaine.
I left the next day.
I had to move back to my parents' home—a failure. My dad said, "I told you so." I was devastated.
But here's what I understand now that I couldn't see then: In that moment when I heard him on the phone, I knew instantly. My body knew. My soul knew. Everything in me recognized that I could not build a life on drugs and deception.
The challenge wasn't figuring out what to do. The challenge was admitting what I already knew, even though it meant doing something incredibly painful.
It took me years to realize that by giving up my marriage and my husband—a man I deeply loved—I was saying "yes" to my true self, the self that knew I could not compromise my core values, no matter how much love was involved.
I wasn't giving up on love. I was choosing the deepest love of all—the willingness to align with my soul knowing.
That 19-year-old version of myself taught me something profound that I carry into my work with women today:
We always know. The question is whether we have the courage to admit what we know and act from that truth, especially when it requires us to do something that looks like failure to others.
🧠 READY MIND: THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN KNOWING & ADMITTING
In my work with successful women, I see this pattern constantly:
The Knowing is already there—clear, immediate, undeniable. Their body knows. Their soul knows. Their authentic self recognizes misalignment instantly.
The Problem isn't lack of clarity. The problem is admitting what they know, because their knowing calls them to:
* Leave a relationship that everyone thinks is "perfect"
* Walk away from a career that looks successful from the outside
* Set boundaries that others will call selfish
* Choose authenticity over approval
* Honor their truth over others' expectations
Common ways we avoid admitting what we know:
* "I don't know what to do" (when we actually do)
* "I need more time to think about it" (when we're avoiding acting)
* "Maybe if I just try harder" (when we know it's fundamentally misaligned)
* "I should be grateful for what I have" (when we know something is wrong)
* "Everyone else thinks I should stay" (when we know we need to leave)
The reframe: What if the challenge isn't gaining clarity, but having the courage to honor the clarity you already possess?
❤️ READY HEART: THE SACRED ACT OF HONORING YOUR TRUTH ❤️
Here's what I've learned about the relationship between love and truth:
True love—the kind that serves everyone involved—sometimes requires us to honor what we know, even when it's painful.
When Melinda walked away from her marriage, she wasn't abandoning love. She was choosing a deeper love—one that honored both her truth and his. Staying together was violating both.
When I left my marriage at 19, I wasn't giving up on my husband. I was refusing to enable a life built on deception and choosing to honor what I knew about the kind of foundation I needed to thrive.
The courage to walk away isn't about not caring enough. It's about caring so deeply that you refuse to build a life on lies—even comfortable lies.
Heart Practice: Dialogue with Your Knowing
Place your hand on your heart and ask: "What do I know that I've been afraid to admit? What truth have I been avoiding because acting on it would be painful or difficult?"
Listen to the first thing that comes up. That's usually your authentic self speaking.
Then ask: "What would it mean to honor this knowing, even if others don't understand?"
💎 SURVIVALISTA INSIGHTS 💎
* We always know—the challenge is admitting what we know, especially when it calls us to do something painful
* Sometimes love requires walking away, not to abandon but to honor the truth that serves everyone
* Saying "I don't know" is often how we avoid taking responsibility for the clarity we already possess
* The courage to leave isn't about not caring—it's about caring so deeply you refuse to build on a false foundation
* Your authentic self recognizes misalignment instantly; the delay is in your willingness to act on that recognition
* What looks like "failure" to others is often your soul's fierce protection of what matters most

💡 Knowing Recognition Patterns:
When you might be avoiding your knowing:
* Endless research about decisions your gut has already made
* Asking everyone else's opinion while ignoring your own
* Creating complex pros/cons lists for situations your heart already knows
* Staying busy to avoid quiet moments where truth emerges
* Feeling energetically drained when thinking about continuing as-is
Signs your authentic knowing is speaking:
* Immediate body response (relief, tension, expansion, contraction)
* Clarity that comes with stillness rather than analysis
* Solutions that honor your values even if they're difficult
* Peace that coexists with nervousness about necessary changes
* Energy shifts when you imagine different possibilities

* Monday: Morning check-in: "What do I know today that I've been avoiding?"
* Wednesday: Mid-week assessment: "Where am I saying 'I don't know' when I actually do?"
* Friday: Truth integration: "What small step can I take to honor my knowing this weekend?"
⚡ Emergency Truth Protocol: When overwhelm hits and you catch yourself saying "I don't know," immediately ask: "If I did know, what would I know?" Trust the first answer that comes.
🔄 Monthly Courage Building: Use this advanced tool monthly to track your journey from avoidance to authenticity and celebrate each moment you choose truth over comfort.
Special Knowing vs. Fear Distinction Tool:
"I'm feeling uncertain about [situation]. Help me determine whether this is authentic uncertainty or fear-based avoidance:
1. What does my body know about this situation when I get quiet and listen? 2. What values or truth might my uncertainty be protecting? 3. Am I avoiding pain or avoiding what's wrong for me? 4. What would I choose if I trusted that I could handle any outcome? 5. How might honoring my authentic knowing serve my highest good and the good of others?
Help me trust the wisdom of my uncertainty while also recognizing when I'm using 'I don't know' to avoid taking responsibility for what I actually do know."
🌈 UNTIL NEXT TIME 🌈
Remember, Survivalista Sisters: your knowing is not a burden—it's a gift. Your authentic self is always guiding you toward what serves your highest good, even when that guidance asks you to do something that looks like failure to others.
The courage to walk away isn't about giving up. It's about saying yes to the truth that's been waiting for you to honor it.
You don't need more clarity. You need more courage to act on the clarity you already possess.
With deep respect for your knowing,
