  • It's D Day

As we move into the final month of 2018, now is the time when you may be celebrating your wins as well as reflecting on those areas where you didn't make as much progress as you'd hoped.

If you have some goals that fall into that category, I invite you to take part in "D" day.

Taking part in this type of the day has been one of the driving forces that keep me and my clients focused and on track. And the good news is, you don't have to wait until after the holidays or the new year to participate. You can get moving on your "D" today!

Learn what it actually takes to be successful and reach the goals of your dreams. Find out why most people don't take action and how failure is part of the process. Listen to the end to hear how Doreen overcame her own failures and how you can too!

  • Bare Bones

There’s no doubt that you have big goals that you are working on. That you want to reach that next level when it comes to your career, business, finances or other personal goals.

But in order to maximize our potential, we must first minimize. That’s where the concept of bare bones comes into play.

During this episode, we will talk about the bare-bones philosophy and how you can apply to your life in a simplified way. Now, this can be easy if you are willing to make some difficult decisions in your life in order to move forward.

You deserve to live in your fullest potential!

  • Preemptive Preparation

There's no doubt that life will have challenges. Things will happen that will get you off track - loss of a loved one, loss of job, financial challenges, health issues - and you may wonder how you will make it through.

I've been experiencing some life changing challenges the past couple of months and I've examined what has been helping me during this difficult time.

    I call it "preemptive preparation".

This has been a key component in how I've been dealing with my recent losses. And if you're in the midst of loss or challenges, I believe this concept can help you too.

I would love to hear your take-a-ways from this podcast. You share on twitter - @doreenrainey or in our Facebook Group - RADICAL Success Tribe.

  • Your Intentions

In the last couple of weeks, I’ve been thinking quite a bit about intentions.

I’ve come to realize that while intentions are important – the ultimate goal is to move from intentions to action.

We often intend to do so many things, whether it’s about our finances, our career, our relationships, but we failed to realize is that not every intention is worthwhile. Unless we commit to our intentions and actually take action, our intentions sometimes mean nothing. Though having intentions are important, it is not equally as important when you really act on it.

In this latest podcast episode, I explore the value of intentions and the role it plays in each area of our lives. I’m also challenging you to do a “gut check” on whether your intentions can be defined as “authentic” or “inauthentic”.

  • Alice Smith

This episode is dedicated to my mom, Alice Smith. I'm sharing the top 5 life lessons I learned from her as we celebrate her life.

    Alice Lear Smith
    July 16, 1942 – July 20, 2018

Alice Lear (Rock) Smith is the oldest of four children to Violia Frances Windborne and James Jacob Rock of Woodford, VA. She was born July 16, 1942 in Washington, DC. She was her high school valedictorian, received her Associates Degree from Northern Virginia Community College and her BA from Potomac College, majoring in accounting.

She was married to Elbert Allen Smith for 56 years, and raised two fiercely independent daughters.

She loved her co-workers from PSI, Del-Tech, Stafford University, and the City of Bowie.

Alice loved to travel. Paris, London, cruises to the Mediterranean, Hawaii, and Aruba were a few of her destinations.

In her mid-twenties, she spent decades as a member of a bowling league, then in her 50’s became a member of the Women of Whist, where card playing was serious business.

She was preceded in death by one brother, James Rock. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Elbert Allen Smith, her two daughters Sandra Gammons (Charles Gammons) and Doreen Rainey (Reginald Rainey), her two grandsons, Shemuel and Jakob; a granddog Monte, and her partner in crime, her caregiver for the past two years, and dedicated sister-in-law, Nevada Smith.

I would love to hear from you! What lesson resonated with you the most, or what life lesson have you learned from your mom or mother figure?
