  • Radikal Review: The Fighters' Podcast

For far too long, the news media—along with its carefully curated roster of political pundits—has pushed the illusion that America only has two political perspectives: conservative and liberal. They never say this outright. They simply erase every other viewpoint by refusing to give it airtime.

But there is another tradition: the radical tradition.
It is the lineage of Denmark Vesey, Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X (El‑Hajj Malik El‑Shabazz), and even Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in his final years.

The Fighters’ Podcast exists to bring that radical perspective back into public view—addressing political, cultural, and religious issues central to the African‑American community.

It’s worth remembering that many of today’s most celebrated ideas about freedom, justice, and equality were first championed by the so‑called Radical Republicans—not to be confused with the present‑day white supremacist faction using the same name. Abolition was a radical idea. Women’s rights were radical ideas. The 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments were radical ideas.

And once again, the moment demands radical thinking and a radical voice.

The Fighters’ Podcast does not exist to tell people what to think. As Dr. Carter G. Woodson reminded us, we have been taught what to think but rarely how to think.

This broadcast is not for the squeamish, the faint‑hearted, the “go along to get along” crowd, or anyone who believes that hope—by itself—can be a strategy in the fight for freedom, justice, and equality.

    This is for the fighters.
    This is for the disciplined.
    This is for the radical.
