The court found that President Zuma was in breach of his constitutional obligations in his handling of the Public Protector's report that recommended that he pay back the money spent on non-security upgrades at his private Nkandla home. The court also found that the national assembly's actions were inconsistent with its constitutional duty to perform hold the executive to account. The Constitutional Court gave President Zuma , just more than three months to pay back a portion of the money.
