1. We do not often discuss company specific news with you, but there were some interesting results released yesterday, including Sasol releasing full year numbers to June 2015. In the light of the massive decline in oil prices over the last 12 months, I would have expected these numbers to be quite dismal. Talk to us about the performance of Sasol.

2. Another big commodity company that was in the news yesterday was Glencore. Their financial performance during the first half of the year was such that it pushed them to suspend dividends as well as announce that it would sell assets and shares to address its significant debt levels. What did you make of the news out of this global mining giant?

The newly-elected ANC Youth League President, Collen Maine during his first speech told the delegates that they have a responsibility to go back to basics and remember that the ANC was formed as an organisation of the people. He promised that the character of the youth of 1944 will be restored in this new season of the youth league. Newly elected leadership of the ANC Youth League has pledged to work towards uniting the league and reclaiming it's former glory of being a kingmaker in the ANC. The league elected a new leadership it's three day conference which ended earlier on Sunday in Midrand , north of Johannesburg. The conference also marked the end of the mandate of the national task team appointed by the ANC to rebuild the league. This is after it disbanded the league's national leadership for amongst others being ill-disciplined and for also sowing divisions within it's ranks. Senior political journalist Amos Phago reports

Azanian People's Organisation says Steve Biko's political philosophies have been forgotten. This after a handful of AZAPO supporters marched to the Kgosi Mampuru prison in Pretoria, to commemorate their slain leader and hero who died in police custody on 12 September 1977. The march and visit to Biko's cell at the prison kickstarted the Steve Biko commemoration month.The Black Consciousness leader's life will be celebrated during numerous events set to take place nationally and internationally. It's all systems go for the ANC Youth League's 25th National Conference this morning. The ANCYL National task Team says it can confirm that all provinces are on board. This is despite disputes by the Youth League's North West faction which has filed an urgent application to stop the conference from going ahead.
