South Sudan's president Salva Kiir signed a peace and power sharing deal on Wednesday to end a 20-month civil war in the country. Kiir however told regional leaders, who were in Juba to witness the signing, that he had serious reservations. Kiir signed the deal a day after threats of United Nations sanctions. President Jacob Zuma will attempt to heal the rifts between the ANC government and the judiciary when the two arms of state meet today. The meeting was requested by the judiciary last month to discuss, what they called, unfair attacks on the courts. The unprecedented meeting has been described by analysts as a bold move. The body has been under the administration of a national task team after it was disbanded by the ANC's National Executive in March 2013.
