which is a community-led monitoring system developed

The National Assembly will  proceed with the special sitting this afternoon to consider and pass the Bill as the extended Constitutional Court deadline is December the tenth. If passed, the Bill still has to go to the NCOP for concurrence. The Bill seeks to give independent candidates the right to contest the provincial and national elections. Singh says it took the executive 18 months before submitting the Bill to Parliament -  six months before the first Constitutional Court deadline of June 2022. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to SABC reporter, Zalene Merrington.
