First Thing is First | Gauteng Education says provisions have been made to deal with the high number of Grades one and eight admissions for 2023 at schools which are in high demand. 

These are mostly in the Alberton and Pretoria North areas. The department has received over 764-thousand applications for the 2023 academic year. 

Between today and the end of next month parents will get placement SMSes from the department.

 Lesufi says school governing bodies have been given money for the construction of close to one-thousand extra classrooms.

graduated with a Master of Arts Degree which focused
on her father's music. The legendary Vusi Ximba was an
iconic musician, songwriter, comedian and satirist who
was best known for his comic style of music and skit-like

Yesterday we spoke about 15-year-old
Zenizole Vena who was held hostage, gang raped and
collapsed and died at a police station. This is after she
was turned away at the local clinic because she was told
to report to the police first before being given medical
care. We now chat about what one must do in the
unfortunate event of being raped. We’re joined on the
