Residents of Ethekwini Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal have been urged to use water sparingly as the metro embarks on scheduled water rotational interruptions. The interruptions expected to stay in place for a year, following demage to water infrustucture left in the wake of the deadly April floods in the province. The municipality's Head of Water and Sanitation, Ednick Msweli has told residents that the April floods were the worst the province has witnessed in over 30 years and that work to repair damaged pipes is expected to be completed by June 2023.
