The Gauteng government has placed the City of Tshwane under administration. Premier David Makhura made the announcement this morning (Thursday 5 March) at the provincial legislature in Johannesburg. The decision comes as the City of Tshwane is currently facing a leadership crisis following the resignation of Mayor Stevens Mokgalapa last month.
