Convicted child rapist Nicholas Ninow has told the North Gauteng High Court that he was 13 when he started using drugs and that he was on anti-depression medication his whole life. Ninow is testifying - today as the court begins with pre-sentencing proceedings. Ninow was found guilty of raping a seven-year old girl in the toilet cubicle at a Dros Restaurant in Pretoria in September last year. The court rejected is version that he acted impulsively when he raped the child. His legal team will have to prove substantial and compelling circumstances on why the court should deviate from the prescribed minimum sentence of life in prison. Ninow says life in prison has been very tough on him and he has been using drugs to numb his pain. Eskom has announced that it will be to implementing stage two rotational load-shedding from 09:00 until 23:00. The power utility says this is in order to protect the power system from a total collapse.  The 26-year-old songbird, born Amanda Faku, has taken the industry by storm, especially after her guest appearance on Sun-El Musician's smash hit Into Ingawe.

 Her passion for music was fuelled by a supportive family who kept her going even through 2 rejections at the pre-auditions of Idols SA. In 2016 Ami Faku decided to give the hopes of a music career one last shot when she auditioned for The Voice SA where she successfully made it through the auditions and weekly elimination rounds until she reached the Top 16 spot.
