    She is on tour with her debut comedy special, titled ‘Matemtem’. Her next show is on the 28th of September in Cape Town

    What makes a nickname? In this debut comedy special, comedian Lihle Msimang explores the reality of nicknames, and how they come about, by taking you on a trip down memory lane. Having been raised in a township called Meadowlands, Soweto, Lihle studied in suburban private schools, in a time where the country’s democracy was still new, and integration was still a dream. In this show, Lihle Msimang sheds some light on her life, while celebrating the colourful nature of her upbringing in the small township.

    Matemtem – a nickname given to Lihle Msimang by her mother whenever she wanted tea, the dishes washed or the TV remote which was only arm’s length away.

  • Catzavelos apologises and agrees to R150 000 fine + Community Service
    Businessman Adam Catzavelos has agreed to pay a 150-thousand rand fine and issue a public apology over his racial outbursts in August last year. He has reached a settlement agreement with the Human Rights Commission in the Equality court sitting in the Randburg Magistrates court north of Johannesburg. The Human Rights Commission brought the application after a self-recorded video of Catzavelos emerged in which he allegedly utters the K-word while on holiday in Greece in August last year. Here is what came out of court a few minutes ago. Catzavelos also publicly apologised during the court proceedings.
