A two-year-old toddler from Bhamshela near Othongathi in northern KwaZulu-Natal has died after being bitten by a rabid dog. Nkosinathi Mzimela was playing with other children when the incident occurred. The number of under-age children that were taken from North West villages to work on Free State farms as seasonal labourers now stands at 50. This was confirmed by the Department of Social Development in the North West when it welcomed 20 of them at children's centres in the province.
