Families of the twelve people who died in a collision involving a minibus taxi and an SUV on the Wolmaranstad-Ottosdal road outside Wolmaranstad in the North West are expected to identify the bodies today.The twelve died on Saturday night when the two vehicles collided. The minibus caught fire after the incident. Only five people survived as Itumeleng Kgajane reports

State Security Minister and ANC National Working Committee member David Mahlobo has accused ratings agencies of trying force a regime change in South Africa through the junk status downgrade. Mahlobo was addressing ANC structures in Mangaung in the aftermath of anti-Zuma protests which followed the country's downgrade by Standard and Poor's. Former Finance Minister, Pravin Gordhan and ANC Treasurer General Zweli Mkhize were snubbed by ANC Youth League supporters during the memorial service of the late ANC stalwart Ahmed Kathrada in Durban.
