President Jacob Zuma has fired Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan and replaced him with Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba. Gordhan's deputy, Mcebisi Jonas, has also been axed and replaced by ANC Member of Parliament, Sifiso Buthelezi. President Jacob Zuma made the annoucement that he has reshuffled his cabinet, just before midnight. He has fired a total of five ministers. Apart from Gordhan, Tourism Minister Derek Hanekom, Transport Minister Dipuo Peters, Energy Minister Tina Joemat-Pettersson and Public Service and Administration Minister Ngoako Ramathlodi have also been axed from Cabinet.
