Virginia Driving Hawk Sneve (born February 21, 1933) is a Native American author.

She has written children’s books with the intention of dispelling stereotypes and negative images of Native Americans.

A member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe in South Dakota, Virginia was a teacher/counselor in Pierre, White, the Flandreau Indian School, and the Rapid City School District.

She also served as an adjunct professor of English for Oglala Lakota College.

Sondra Segundo is a multidisciplinary artist and Haida language activist. She is a regalia maker, traditional and contemporary artist, author and illustrator of children's books, singer-songwriter, and keeper of ancestral songs.

Sondra is the lead female vocalist of the Seattle-based tribal funk band, Khu’éex’, and sings/tells stories in the Tlingit and Haida languages. She also produces music with her husband, Eroc, and has released two albums, Díi Gudangáay uu Síigaay (I Can Feel the Ocean) and Sáandlaanaay (The First Light).

Esther Belin is the author of two poetry books and coeditor of ‘The Diné Reader: An Anthology of Navajo Literature’.

Belin’s visual art combines a variety of disciplines and works to reframe the mythical primitivism often associated with indigenous cultures.

She is a citizen of the Navajo Nation and a member of ‘Saad Bee Hózhǫ́’, a Diné Writers’ Collective. She teaches in the Native American and Indigenous studies department at Fort Lewis College. In 2025, she was invited by the Poetry Foundation in Chicago to be the guest editor of its March issue dedicated to Diné poetry.

Daniel H. Wilson is a Cherokee citizen and the multiple New York Times bestselling author of techno-thrillers such as ‘Robopocalypse’, ‘The Clockwork Dynasty’, and ‘The Andromeda Evolution’ (an authorized sequel to the Crichton classic).

He earned a PhD in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as Masters degrees in Machine Learning and Robotics.

His new novel, ‘Hole in the Sky’, is a story of Native First Contact, released October 7th, 2025.

‘Hole in the Sky’ is optioned by Netflix via Aggregate Films for a feature film.

Wilson lives in Portland, Oregon.

Preston Singletary is a Native American musician glass artist. He grew up in the Seattle area listening to the stories told by his Tlingit great-grandparents.

His art has become synonymous with the relationship between Tlingit culture and fine art.

His glass sculptures deal with themes of Tlingit mythology and traditional designs, while also using music to shape his contemporary perspective of Native culture.

Preston Singletary is the recipient of numerous awards and distinctions.

He still lives and works in Seattle.

Sunburnt Stone is a band based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Their music combines various influences and genres between country, blues, rock, and Americana.

All the band members, Andrew Wilson, Daryl Young, and Nichole Tsosie, are Diné, members of the Navajo Nation.

Their songs generally reflect experiences in life, sunset skies, and the pains of broken glass weathering through the souls of each and every one.

Felicia Pichette is an indigenous language student and teacher at the Spokane Language House in the state of Washington, in the United States. Its mission is to create a new generation of fluent speakers of Np’oq͗ ínišcn, the Spokane language, which is a dialect of Salish.

In turn, the Salish language is highly endangered and at risk of disappearing.

Only a few years ago, there were just two Elders alive who could speak Np’oq͗ ínišcn fluently.

Spokane Language House started a radical method to address the issue of language loss in the context of a few fluent living Elders.

The school’s goal is to create the space to immerse adult learners in the Np’oq͗ ínišcn language, and for these learners to become mentors who can transmit the language to younger generations.

She is an advocate of indigenous heritage preservation, and, as such, she is involved in various projects and organizations that promote and offer free resources to learn Quechua, including ‘Atuq Yachachiq’, a group she co-founded with the goal of teaching traditional values and human rights to people living in remote rural communities in Bolivia.

Terry White’s career as a musician started in Oak Park, Illinois, just outside of Chicago, where he began teaching himself guitar as a teenager.

After graduating from highschool, he started a band, Modern Day Saints, and they moved to Los Angeles, where they enjoyed a rabid LA following as regulars on the legendary Sunset Strip.

In 1994, White moved back to Chicago, started a solo career, but also continued to collaborate with others, and enjoyed being part of a musical community. His fourth full-length solo album, ‘You Won’t Have a Name’, was released Friday, Sept, 26, 2025.

Carol C is the lead singer and co-founder of the popular electronic soul band, Si*Sé. Already established in NYC’s music scene as a globetrotting drum & bass DJ and party promoter since before the band’s inception, the success of Si*Sé made Carol C’s vocals, songwriting, and impeccable ear for production high in demand.

Collaborations with David Byrne, Thievery Corporation, The Phenomenal Handclap Band, Federico Aubele, Madrid De Los Austrias, Ursula 1000, and King Britt soon followed. She currently resides in New Orleans, which is where she is speaking from, sitting in her home studio.

Roberta Noell Tom is a Diné (Navajo) artist and children’s book author.

She is Áshįįhí born for Nát’oh Dine’é Táchii’nii, and a U.S. Navy veteran and aerospace professional.

‘Bebe Bear and Her Dream Adventures at Masani’s’ is written and illustrated by Roberta Noell Tom. It is her debut children’s book about a Diné girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut, engineer, and more.

It encourages children to explore their aspirations and ask questions about their future.
