That's the end of Season One. Thank you so much for your feedback and well wishes. It has been a ride. We especially love those of you who responded when someone's memory didn't really match reality. No worries, keep an eye out for Season Two, where we'll actually make sure we all have an aural history that tracks properly. Also there is talk of a website, and more ways to find "Radio Check" the podcast. We might even give ya'll a chance to support our efforts, and get a little schwag when doing so.
We hope you enjoy!

We hope you enjoy this Season ender episode. Next week a final bonus and request for participation.
Splinter and the Radio Check Team.
More of the same. You will love this shorty.
For the first time, we're going to release podcasts 2020 style. A whole mini series at once. 3 episodes of Harley K. Dubois! Binge Ready.
We (Splinter and Keeper) get to spend an afternoon with Harley K. Dubois. We learn so so much. Harley truly did have more information about anyone else regarding the early years of Rangering because well, she was there, and well, she was in charge of it.
Come listen to some of the most amazing memories about the early history of The Black Rock Rangers.
The Cacophony Society days, The big crazy year of 1996. The Massive changes made for 1997, including Joseph Pred running the Black Rock Rangers. 1998 ESD departure. 2002 and the upheavals. Ranger Council, Ranger Ops Teams.
And closest to our hearts? The idea that if you really want to make a rule, you had better figure out how you are going to break the rule later because that always happens.
It truly was a gift getting to ask Harley about all these important things that make the Rangers who they are.
Hello Listeners!
Today is the second part of Women of Khaki Wave 2. Keeper produced this talk which gives insight into the days of Female Rangering after the release of Kathasauras's Women of Khaki calendar.
Mere de Terre (as her friends say though officially listed as "Mere de Terra"), k8 (lowercase k - BIG 8) and Peaches continue to discuss just exactly what has changed and what has gotten better or still needs work in the Rangers.
Episode 15!!!! What a long strange trip it has been.
This is another episode one of a 2 parter. This discussion talks about the challenges and changes women in the Rangers went through after the release of the Women in Khaki calendar.
Ranger HQ, Female Shift Leading, and rain storms are among the many things Women in Khaki have been dealing with since the beginning.
Also, just because it looks good and makes sense, does not mean it is perfect. The emotional element still needs to be considered.
OMG. Digger, un cut. So much info that rings.

Keeper and Crow had a lovely chat with Digger who first went to the event in 1995 on a whim and attended his first Ranger Orientation Meeting in 1998.
Having cut his teeth in making events work by participating with Survival Research Laboratory's event under the bridge at Harrison street in SF, and having John Law as a neighbor, he was on the path.
Digger and Keeper discuss what early training was like on the Playa.
Digger also explains how Burningman was transformative to his life.
Next week, we'll identify and throw out "Ranger Socials" and explore the origins of Rangers getting together without any pretense. That doesn't mean with no style, on the contrary. It means if you are going to do it, do it and make it fun.

Splinter and Crow have a lovely discussion with Fearless about Bacon, Earth Guardians, Hot Springs Patrol, Community Outreach, other groups that use the Playa, Fearless riding for RnR, The Greeters, and Investments.
We hope you enjoy!
The Radio Check Team
In this episode Rangers Crow and Splinter get to spend an enjoyable afternoon with one of the longest standing, active, and hard working Rangers who still does shifts on Playa AND runs around the world helping people, Ranger Fearless.
Fearless moved to Nevada to get away from a challenging lifestyle in SF and went hot springs hunting. Accidentally stumbling across the event in 1993, Fearless wanted to see the event continue and along the way, made 70,000 or so friends, helped a lot of those people out of the mud, travelled the earth in a 4x4 truck with a train whistle and radar, and spectacularly, spent a lot of time picking up other people's trash in the Black Rock Desert.
His next project is to work on providing water to the indigenous people (Wayuu) of a remote part of Columbia (La Guajira department of Colombia)
We hope you enjoy this Part 1 of the 2 Part episode - Fearless.
This is the first in the Radio Check "Council of Familiars" series. With these episodes we will delve into the stories of both current, really long standing Rangers and Rangers who have moved on from the khaki wearing world to other pursuits.
The real dream of The Council of Familiars is to create a space, a mindset, a club, that people who have been involved in leadership within the organization for a long time can still stay somewhat involved with what is going on in the Rangers even after they stopped Rangering in BRC.
