  • Josh Eskin - Principle Engineer for Ball Aerospace
Josh Eskin is the principal engineer for Ball Corporation's Aerospace division located in Boulder, Colorado. They make satellites used for Google earth and other similar applications.
Josh Eskin was at the Science Fair demonstrating information on the James-Webb space telescope which he describes as the "next big space telescope" to be launched. This new telescope takes up four times the area of the Hubble Space Telescope, and will be launched further into space than previous telescopes and satellites, trailing the earth at one of the "Lagrange points" where the gravity from the Earth and the Sun are in balance. This launch is set to happen in 2018.
We also talk about space junk such as old rocket casings, expired satellites, and the problems they pose to current and future aerospace projects.
