Stephanie Lukowksi is the Paleontologist at the Ice Age Discovery Center In Snowmass Village, Colorado.
The Snowmastodon Site is one of the largest fossil discoveries in Colorado history, the world's most significant mastodon find, and a remarkably complete record of climate change between 140,000-45,000 years ago.
During the excavation, scientists recovered over 6,000 large skeletal elements and 30,000 small skeletal elements belonging to mammoth, mastodon, bison, camel, horse, sloth, deer, and 45 species of smaller vertebrate animals.
