He is an announcer, a programmer, a drummer, and a stand up comedian. He is Jim Sharon whose radio years were mostly in the EZ- MOR format. Today we are joined by a god friend of mine and a who did mornings with me at WTPR- AM  in Pars Tennessee,  I was program director and he was the news director.  After  ten years in radio he made the switch to being a news reporter for the Paris P.I. newspaper. We discuss how writing news is different for radio and newspaper and how social media is changing both. I will also be talking to John Berryman the president of a public service group called the Helping Hands and how they use radio to raise money for service organizations in Henry County Tennessee.

Today we go to the great state of west Texas to speak to Aurora  Cantu  a member of the Texas radio hall of fame and the San António radio hall of fame. We talk about radio not only on the air work but behind the scenes and the music licensees.

On this episode of “Radio Guy Reflections” we are joined by Cameron Dennison of Tuff City Radio in Tofino British Columbia a coastal community on the west coast of Canada. Cameron tells an incredible story of how a vacation changed his life. Cameron has an incredible story on a radio station that is not cookie cutter radio.
