Makeup artist Mary Czech joins us for the first episode of season four of Radio Luzifer! This season we are focusing in on the history of "scream queens" and the importance of women in the horror film industry. Czech is the makeup artist for Jakob's Wife (2021) directed by Travis Stevens and starring Barbara Crampton (You're Next, From Beyond, Re-Animator, Body Double), Larry Fassenden (Habit, The House of the Devil), and Bonnie Aarons (The Nun, The Conjuring 2, Drag Me to Hell). 

Anne, a woman in her late 50’s who is married to a small-town Minister feels her life and marriage have been shrinking over the past 30 years. Through a chance encounter with "The Master", she discovers a new sense of power and an appetite to live bigger and bolder than before. However, these changes come with a heavy body count and a toll on her marriage. Jakob's Wife will be released at SXSW Film Festival 2021.

A couple in Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood have formed a friendship with the Daley family who are ghosts that inhabit the house they used to reside in. One day while doing reiki and reading tarot cards Carmen is reminded of their special gift of seeing dead people. The Daley's are irish, hungry, and drunk.

The first ever Mexican sound horror film, La Llorona (1933), has been restored by Viviana García Besne of Permanencia Voluntaria Archivo Cinematográfico and will be screened for the first time in Chicago accompanied with the 2019 Llorona Film directed by Jayro Bustamante. Presented by The Music Box Theatre and Chicago Film Programmer Raúl Benítez.
