समाजातील विविध समस्यांवर मात करण्यासाठी कटीबद्ध झालेल्या गुजरातमधील विद्यार्थ्यांनी १९७२ पासून नवनिर्माण चळवळ सुरू केली होती. विद्यार्थ्याच्या पुढाकाराने सुरू झालेल्या या नवनिर्माण चळवळीने जानेवारी ते मार्च १९७४ च्या दरम्यान भ्रष्टाचार, महागाई, दुष्काळ, टंचाई या समस्या घेऊन गुजरात सरकारविरोधात आक्रमक पवित्रा घेतला.

Informative session about the important personality. Following the death of Bal Gangadhar Tilak in 1920, Moonje dissociated  from Congress. He disagreed with the two main policies of M. K. Gandhi,  namely his non-violence and secularism. His association with Hindu  Mahasabha increased and he was also political mentor of Dr Hedgewar who  founded RSS in 1925. Moonje was the All India President of the Hindu Mahasabha from 1927 until he handed over the charge to Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in 1937.  Until his death, he was very active in the Mahasabha and  toured all over India. Savarkar had his strong support. He also attended  the Round Table Conferences (in London)  twice, despite strong  opposition from Congress leaders on his views.

Informative session about the important personality. Viswanathan Anand is an Indian chess grandmaster and a former  world chess champion. He became the first grandmaster from India in  1988, and is one of the few players to have surpassed an Elo rating of  2800, a feat he first achieved in 2006. Anand is a five-time world chess champion. He defeated Alexei Shirov in a six-game match to win the 2000 FIDE World Chess Championship, a title he held until 2002. He became the undisputed world champion in 2007, and defended his title against Vladimir Kramnik in 2008, Veselin Topalov in 2010, and Boris Gelfand in 2012. In 2013, he lost the title to challenger Magnus Carlsen, and he lost a rematch to Carlsen in 2014 after winning the 2014 Candidates Tournament. In April 2006, Anand became the fourth player in history to pass the 2800 Elo mark on the FIDE rating list, after Kramnik, Topalov, and Garry Kasparov. He occupied the number one position for 21 months, the sixth-longest period on record.

Chakravarti Rajagopalachari, popularly known as Rajaji or C.R.,  also known as Mootharignar Rajaji, was an Indian statesman, writer,  lawyer, and independence activist. Rajagopalachari was the last  Governor-General of India, as India soon became a Republic in 1950. He was also the first Indian-born governor-general, as all previous holders of the post were British nationals. He also served as leader of the Indian National Congress, Premier of the Madras Presidency, Governor of West Bengal, Minister for Home Affairs of the Indian Union and Chief Minister of Madras state.  Rajagopalachari founded the Swatantra Party and was one of the first recipients of India's highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna.  He vehemently opposed the use of nuclear weapons and was a proponent of  world peace and disarmament. During his lifetime, he also acquired the  nickname 'Mango of Salem'. Rajagopalachari was born in the Thorapalli village of Hosur taluk in the Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu and was educated at Central College, Bangalore, and Presidency College, Madras.  In the 1900s he started legal practice at the Salem court. On entering  politics, he became a member and later Chairperson of the Salem municipality.

व्यापारी उपयोगासाठी होणाऱ्या जंगलतोडीला विरोध करण्यासाठी हिमालयाच्या पायथ्याशी राहणाऱ्या स्थानिक नागरिकांनी गांधीवादी नेते चंडीप्रसाद भट्ट यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली आंदोलन सुरू केलं होतं. हिमाचल प्रदेशातील ज्येष्ठ गांधीवादी नेते सुंदरलाल बहुगुणा यांनी त्याची व्याप्ती  वाढवली. १९७३ साली त्यांनी, झाडांना आलिंगन देऊन सांकेतिकरीत्या जंगलतोडीला व वृक्षतोडीला विरोध करण्याचं अभिनव आंदोलन हिमाचल प्रदेशातील अलकनंदा खोऱ्यात सुरू कल. त्याला महिलांचा उत्स्फूर्त प्रतिसाद लाभला. 'चिपको आंदोलन' म्हणून गाजलेलं हे पर्यावरणवादी आंदोलन अत्यंत परिणामकारक ठरलं.
