When we shepherd our children without fervent prayer, we operate in practical atheism—trusting in human wisdom rather than divine intervention. True family discipleship demands deep humility, recognizing that apart from Christ, we can do nothing to secure our children's salvation. We must shift from self-reliance to knee-work, pleading with God to give our children a new heart.
