With Lawson dead and Comanche Joe and Tumbleweed Jones wounded and near death, Superman has only seconds to save them.  Will he be in time? And what about those who witness this sensational rescue attempt?  The conclusion of our story starts now. A review of the entire serial follows episode.

Comanche Joe Tumbleweed Jones and Lawson are all near death trapped in the cave while  The Indians beat on the drums to call for Superman’s help. Clark also hears the drums and wonders what they mean   Can he save all three or will one or more die? Jimmy may be the answer.

Last time, Tumbleweed,  and Lawson find themselves wounded and trapped in the cave with only 3 hours of air left, and Clark and Jimmy none the wiser, the situation looks extremely dire.  Will Kent figure it out?  Will Superman arrive in time?

Tumbleweed Jones is determined to get Lawson out of that cave, but Lawson is ready to shoot him dead.  Will Superman be needed?  If so, he has only seconds to hurry before Tumbleweed gets a bullet through his heart. In our last episode, Comanche Joe is put in danger as he tries to put out the fires created under the guise of the Coyote Howl legend. Will he escape in time?  Will Superman arrive in time? Commentary on the tom tom used in this episode and how the Comanches used them in real life for celebration as well as torture rituals.

An elderly man claims he has no idea what happened after he found his wife dead on the floor beside the bed.  Commentary on why this episode was a slight departure from the rest with Joe Friday doing something he never does.

Last time, Dusty was pushed to a confession for nearly killing Jimmy Olsen just to find himself mysteriously killed before he can tell Comanche Joe and Kent who he was working for.  In the meantime, a greater danger is ahead. Since this serial is called The Howling Coyote, we comment on the legend of the coyote through the various Native America tribes.

In our last episode, Jimmy had to have an operation to save his life after taking a nasty fall off the horse thanks to Lawson and his henchman Dusty.  Jimmy right now is quickly fading with no hope in sight. Commentary on the logic of Superman giving a blood transfusion as well as how much longer he can stay anonymous in the shadows.
