Today Coach Blu talks to Tim McDowell. Tim pitched in the Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League from 1988 through 1991. Tim is a masters level therapist and works with The Baseball Assistance Team (B.A.T.), formed in 1986 by a group of former Major League Baseball players. B.A.T. was founded to confidentially help members of the Baseball Family who were in need of assistance with nowhere else to turn. Today Coach Blu talks with Vance Johnson a professional NFL player who played for the Denver Broncos from 1985 to 1995 about life on and off the field. Vance describes his life as a fast-paced whirlwind existence leading down the road of addiction and broken relationships. After a spiritual awakening, Vance faced his addictive opponent and took his life back.  Listen as Vance describes drafting himself to team sober, and now assists others hurt by addiction choose what team they play for.
