We got together with J. Ferron to get the story of the band, and we feature one of the scorching tracks from the EP! Rock and Roll music (and conversation) that DESERVES to be heard!
Skull Riot is a bone-crushing noisy band fronted by J. Ferron on bass and vocals. Their innovative approach to hard rock, metal, and stoner with their distinct screaming creates a unique sound that is pure electrifying energy. Based out of Los Angeles, CA, Skull Riot follows the steps of Mike Kerr and Royal Blood, creating a big wall of sound with riff-driven songs that you can headbang to. Sam Epstein joins the band in March of 2024 and with him behind the drums, their live sound becomes a head-turner. Their power was captured in the studio giving birth to their first EP: "Too Little... Too Late". With 5 songs total and just south of 14 min. of pure adrenaline, Skull Riot begins this journey exploring what can be done with just two instruments and a lot of heavy riffs.

Mark Farner has a new album, Closer To My Home, coming out on November 8, 2024. We are pleased to have Mark join RadioBypass once again to discuss this amazing new record. We cannot wait for everyone the world over to hear this one! Mark Slaughter of Slaughter fame was a huge participant on this album, including being co-producer along with Mark Farner. Mark and I discuss how he and Mark Slaughter came to work together. When we first got to hear the new album, our initial thoughts were that this album is full of amazing songs, incredible performances, and was a very heartfelt, very personal album for Mark. We talk about that, and you will find out if he agrees with that assessment! In addition to ten new songs on the CD version, there is also a 55th Anniversary Re-Recording of I'm Your Captain (Closer To Home) that sounds absolutely stunning. Mark gave us the okay to play it at the end of our conversation, so be sure to check it out! The legendary Mark Farner, still creating Rock and Roll music (and conversation) that DESERVES to be heard! Join us!
Lions In The Street will be releasing a new album, Moving Along, on November 8, 2024. We sat down with lead vocalist Chris Kinnon to talk about the new album and the long road that got Lions In The Street to this point. They have quite an interesting back story. From hanging out with people like Todd Rundgren and Bob Ezrin, being signed to a couple of record labels but then having things fall apart, then being blacklisted in the music industry, and a lot of other mishaps, the band persevered and now have a new album for us all to enjoy. Their story inspires us all to keep going no matter how hard the road. Chris shares the whole story during our conversation and we play two songs from the upcoming album! Rock and Roll music (and conversation) that DESERVES to be heard!
