  • TV Party Tonight: Star Trek - Strange New Worlds (Season 2)
David Wright and Mark Radulich present their Star Trek Strange New Worlds Season 2 Review! The second season of the American television series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds follows Captain Christopher Pike and the crew of the starship Enterprise in the 23rd century as they explore new worlds and carry out missions throughout the galaxy during the decade before Star Trek: The Original Series. The season was produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout, Weed Road Pictures, H M R X Productions, and Roddenberry Entertainment, with Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers serving as showrunners.

Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, and Rebecca Romijn respectively star as Pike, Spock, and Number One, along with Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, and Babs Olusanmokun. A second season of Strange New Worlds was confirmed in January 2022 and filming took place at CBS Stages Canada in Mississauga, Ontario, from February to July 2022, prior to the release of the first season. The showrunners continued the first season's episodic storytelling approach, inspired by The Original Series, giving each episode a different genre and tone. This includes a crossover episode with the animated comedy series Star Trek: Lower Decks, and the Star Trek franchise's first musical episode featuring original songs by Kay Hanley and Tom Polce. Many of the regular actors and several guest stars portray younger versions of characters from The Original Series in the season.

The season premiered on the streaming service Paramount+ on June 15, 2023, and ran for 10 episodes until August 10. It was estimated to have high viewership and audience demand and was praised by critics. A third season was ordered in March 2023.

  • X-Men Arcade (1992) Play Through Alternative Commentary
Mark, Jesse, Ronnie, and Robert Winfree get together to watch a play through of the 1992 arcade classic "X-Men."

X-Men (エックス・メン, Ekusumen) is a side-scrolling beat 'em up game produced and released by Konami for arcades in 1992, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. The character designs of the characters in the game are based on the 1989 cartoon X-Men: Pryde of the X-Men. In the game, up to six players control the X-Men to defeat their archenemy Magneto. The six-player version of the game utilizes two screens housed in a deluxe cabinet. It was one of the top five highest-grossing dedicated arcade games of 1992 in the United States, while the Amusement & Music Operators Association (AMOA) nominated it for the "most innovative new technology" award.

An arcade exclusive for many years, a home version of the game developed by Backbone Entertainment was released by Konami digitally on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2010, followed by mobile versions for iOS and Android devices. This version is no longer available for purchase as of 2013.

The Exorcist: Believer is a 2023 American supernatural horror film directed by David Gordon Green, who co-wrote the screenplay with Peter Sattler from a story by Scott Teems, Danny McBride, and Green. The sixth installment in The Exorcist franchise, it serves as a sequel to The Exorcist (1973). The film stars Leslie Odom Jr., Lidya Jewett, Olivia O‘Neill in her film debut, Jennifer Nettles, Norbert Leo Butz and Ann Dowd, along with Ellen Burstyn and Linda Blair reprising their roles from the original film. Its plot follows a photographer who must confront the nadir of evil when his daughter and her best friend are possessed.

Jason Blum served as a producer on the film through his Blumhouse Productions banner, alongside David and James G. Robinson through their Morgan Creek Entertainment banner, in association with executive producers Green and McBride's Rough House Pictures. The project began as a sequel to the original film in December 2020. Universal Pictures collaborated with Peacock to acquire distribution rights in June 2021 for $400 million, with intentions of launching a new trilogy of The Exorcist films. Principal photography took place between November 2022 and March 2023 on a production budget of $30 million.

The Exorcist: Believer was released in the United States on October 6, 2023, and has grossed $85 million worldwide. It received negative reviews from critics, who felt it failed to reach the height and impact of the original film despite earnest attempts in a return to form for the series. A sequel, entitled The Exorcist: Deceiver, is scheduled to be released on April 18, 2025.
