This is a really deep conversation into many subjects. starting with Batman and being an introverted extrovert. We are excited to watch Terrifier 3 and am impressed by the budget and profit of the series. From horror we then move to the exciting and potentially scary Tesla Optimus. We debate billionaires and then move into conversations on the Covid Vaccine misinformation, war, politics, society and corruption affecting public trust. We enjoy a good argument and only agree that more people should debate rather than stick to their own echo chambers. We then delve into movies again, plenty here to sink your ears into. Enjoy!
A new format where we have a focussed discussion on 1 recent cinema movie. We aim not to release the episodes too soon after the film has been released in the cinema to give everyone a chance to watch before listening.
Today's Spoiler Review is Kev with his big cousin Michael who is an actor and huge movie buff. We don't think the film deserves as much hate as it got but we still have plenty of questions.
Kev brings on friend Eleanor that he has photographed many times in the past as a model. Eleanor herself is also a professional photographer with a studio and focuses on Family, Pets and Weddings. They bonded over music and she joined to see Green Day in London a few years back and then last year seeing Bring Me The Horizon in Birmingham. We all discuss her passion for animals such as horse riding and rescuing cats when on holiday and then discuss horror movies which is Eleanor's favourite to watch though these days struggles to find ones that truly scare. This is a fun chat where lots of things are talked about from Tom Daley in a fishbowl to looking forward to being old enough for a Saga holiday.
Our friend that we've known for almost 25 years joins us to hang out but unfortunately Drew wasn't able to join. We discuss music and Chris' influence on Kev's music taste who introduced him to lots of metal bands. We delve into conspiracy theories and debate what's ridiculous and plausible but can't fully agree. Kev and Chris are going to the Taskmaster Experience in November to take part in the actual tasks. We talked about The Bear, Bond, Ludwig on BBC1 and a new opinion on Deadpool & Wolverine we didn't expect. We discuss some of the craziness surrounding the P Diddy revelations this week and play with Transformers toys.
We have had a great run of Special Guests recently and we have many more coming soon. This is an old school episode with just us 3 and the usual mayhem. We have some fun Show & Tells to bring up before discussing new Netflix Series such as The Perfect Couple and Monsters (Melendez Stories). Kev discusses the new insane movie The Substance with Demi Moore which is causing controversy but in a successful way. There is also a few Movie News to bring up with triple releases from Sebastian Stan.
Kevs record messed up so 2 records were created accidentally so here we are. This is the 2nd part of our fun and in-depth conversation around movies and the path of a cinematographer. We also bring up Tom Cruise!
Arran Green kindly joined our podcast to talk about his career as a cinematographer, he gives great advice and it was a joy to dig deep into the movie industry. We ask how to become a cinematographer and his favourite things in that role, also discussing what projects he has done from movies, adverts and a recent intimate music event with Eminem. We had so many questions we barely scratched the surface and we need to arrange a second conversation to geek out further on everything visual. Listening to his expertise on everything from lighting, composition and mood to really create an engaging project is invaluable.
Part 2 of our conversation with Liv. We start with talking about Courtroom Dramas and then talk about the Hollywood Mega Star that Liv met but not before we try to guess. As you can imagine it doesn't go well. Liv thinks Kev is the same height as her which shocks Kev and also thinks Drew has the tallest energy. Drew and James have issues with maths and shapes which makes it easy to take the piss out of them. Liv shares the same great stories including about social experiments showcasing the unconscious bias we have even from a young age.
Our guest this week is Liv McNee who Kev met at Cheshire Fashion Week, she was modelling bridal wear at first and Kev was taking photos. He met with her every year at this event for a few years and became friends along with a small group of others who were regularly at the show. But modelling far from defines Liv, she has a life so far removed from this industry that is very impressive as she studied international Law and British Law getting degrees in the process and travelling and living in the Netherlands and USA. We learn about her experiences which bring us into many topics including the Death Penalty and the Heard Vs Depp trial.
Today's Special Guest is Saoirse who is a Model that Kev has photographed many times over the years at fashion shows. She is an Educational Plan Writer for children which we discuss as well as working from home and the effects the pandemic had on children's education and anxiety. She was one of the lucky few to get an Oasis ticket and James tells Kev a frustrating bit of info as he was in the majority that didn't get a ticket. We talk music, vinyls and gigs before talking Beetlejuice and other movies as well as people who marry animals and inanimate objects.
