Amber experienced parental abuse. Her predator was her parent, her mother, and now, as an adult, she struggles with the reality of her trauma.    

Amber is one of our three courageous hosts.  Besides being a performer, artist and coach, Amber’s story and perspective is unique because her predator and emotional abuser is a parent.  Amber’s story undermines any notion that we can simply avoid these relationships.  In fact, her experiences felt so normal that it took an outsider saying, “Oh, it sounds like you were emotionally abused” for things to click.  And, worse still, she has to engage with her abuser on a regular basis.    

In this episode, Amber offers some great advice on how PREY can minimize the impact PREDATORS have on their lives, particularly in cases of parental abuse.
