Raising Nashville Podcast

This week the dads got in the studio for the first time in 2021 and decided they wanted to bring a few new talking points to the table.  Let's be honest, 2020 was something and now we have a new year to look forward to....or do we?  Lizard people started this year off as we learned more about the Nashville bomber, we have a new president, and what has happened to Justin Timberlake?  These are just a few things we wanted to discuss as we roll 2020 into 2021.  So keep your head up, throw on some headphones and check out the newest episode of Raising Nashville Podcast.

Does Kevin come back to regain his throne? Will his parents get divorced? Is his dad a dirt bag with a questionable occupation? The answer is simply....Yes! 

When the Corona virus pandemic hit in early March we wouldn't have predicted that it would still be raging (pretty much out of control) at Christmas time, but here we are.  With normal Christmas traditions out the window this year we sit down to discuss how our families are adapting this holiday and talk about some ways to keep this year somewhat normal.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.   A time when we are inundated with movies about finding love at Christmas, saving Christmas, learning the true meaning of Christmas, or in the case of Christmas Chronicles 2, almost ruining the Christmas holiday, FOR EVERYONE, for the 2nd time in as many years.    This week Bucky and Juicebox sit down to watch the sequel to the smash hit(?) The Christmas Chronicles and give their honest opinions on the movie.  We also get a theory (fueled by Mixed Greens IPA) about time travel from Juicebox that ends with him realizing he should not have watched this movie alone.

Welp, Halloween week is upon us, and we're a little down about it this year.  With a spike in Covid cases (we just had the highest number of infections in one day, but sure, it's fake) it's pretty hard to justify letting our kids Trick or Treat in a traditional way.  So we decided to sit down and discuss some of the options on the table this year, while still following CDC guidelines, to keep our families safe.   This is a short episode, but if you're interested in the history of Halloween and Trick or Treating (aka Guising, aka Ragamuffin Day) please check out Episode 29 - Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet? .  Also a quick reminder, a "Jason" mask does not prevent the spread of Covid, so shut up about it. 

This week we are reviewing the (at the time of recording) #1 trending movie on Netflix starring every Adam Sandler character you've ever heard of. Is this movie about bullying? Is it a culmination of all of Sandlers work? Is it the result of an Oscar snub? Who knows? What we do know is this is a typical Happy Madison production fueled by some Netflix money that allowed Sandler, his writers and director to do whatever they wanted. What'd he say again?
