Responsibility: the ability to control your response.
There are many terrible actions that are carried out against us that will sometimes never be acknowledged, apologised for or made right. The more severe the action, the harder the consequences are for us to stomach.
We adjust our personalities and behaviours to compensate for the trauma we suffer. These adjustments are often necessary for helping us through difficult periods. Professionally these adjustments are called "adaptive coping mechanisms".
There can come a time, however, when these coping mechanisms, no longer serve the purpose they were intended for. We must grow and adapt, not just to trauma, but to the absence of it as well.
This videos hopes to shed some ideas on behaviours we may do and not even realise it. I hope some find this video helpful.
