Rams absolutely dismantled the Minnesota Vikings in State Farm Stadium and are now headed to Philadelphia for a date in the divisional round with the Eagles. How did they do it? They have the superior head coach/quarterback, and had a gameplan defensively, led by a young core, that had Sam Darnold seeing ghosts all night. The Vikings were no slouch, they were a 14-win team this season but couldn't get past the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams in any capacity. Do the Rams have a legitimate shot against the Eagles, with a chance for redemption? We very much think so.

Rams are now preparing to play the Vikings in the first round of the Wild Card playoffs in ARIZONA because of the LA wildfires. An unfortunate situation for the Rams who were set to host a playoff game and were estimated to have a massive home field advantage. Regardless, the Rams have a few things they can focus on to ensure they win this game and advance to the divisional round: starting fast, generating tons of pressure and making sure they perform better in the red zone than their opponents.

They officially own the 4 seed in the NFC and will host the 14-win Minnesota Vikings (5 seed) in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. THE RAMS ARE OFFICIALLY NFC WEST CHAMPIONS! They needed help from the Bills, Bengals, Commanders and Vikings to finish the job this weekend, and they got it. Their game against Seattle in the final week of the season isn't quite meaningless because of the playoff seeding scenario's, but the Rams took care of their business, controlled their own destiny and were insanely impressive coming off of their bye week for the 2nd straight year. The Rams have won 4 straight games (and back-to-back road games) to improve to 9-6 and are now in full control of the NFC West with only 2 weeks to go. The Rams have to travel to New Jersey to play the Jets this weekend, in a game that many would consider a trap. McVay hasn't historically coached well in cold weather games, but this Rams team is scorching hot and is in first place in the NFC West. They have a chance to put this race to bed early if they can win the next 2 games and Seattle loses this weekend to Minnesota. What do the Rams need to do in this game in order to head back to Los Angeles with a win? The Rams SWEPT the 49ers for the first time since 2018. It increases their playoff odds to 52%, while the 49ers remain in the basement of the NFC West with a 0.1% chance to make the playoffs this season. The Rams theoretically slammed the 49ers Super Bowl window shut, in an ugly win that puts them in prime position to make some noise in the final 3 games of the regular season and win the NFC West. The Rams have an opportunity to sweep the 49ers for the first time since 2018. We know the history of these two teams in the McVay/Shanahan era, but the Rams are in the process of playing their best football after putting up 65 total points in their last 6 quarters combined vs. New Orleans and Buffalo. They were able to get the job done earlier this season without Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp and a healthy offensive line. Rams took care of business against the MVP favorite, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in SoFi Stadium tonight in DRAMATIC fashion. Absolutely incredible offensive performance (by both teams) but in particular Sean McVay, Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua and the Rams' offense on third down, in the red zone and seemingly in every single crucial situation. Are the Rams going to make a legitimate playoff push and potentially win the NFC West? There's most definitely a chance. But they have to make sure they're ready to go against the 49ers on a short week. If they do, they'll move to 8-6 and will have swept the 49ers and beat them 3 straight games, going back to last year.
