  • Hive music festival week 99 - round 3 🎵 Lagrimas Negras 🖤
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=randolpheel1/ssbrugtf
Today I want to share my interpretation of a classic of Cuban music: [“Lagrimas Negras”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SA0Rkdfkh0Y), a composition by the great Miguel Matamoros. This song is a true musical poem that speaks about suffering and loss, universal feelings that we all, at some point, have experienced. As I approached this piece, I found myself reflecting on the depth of its lyrics. The performer's voice resonates with a palpable sadness, as can be seen in the verses that mention abandonment and the death of illusions. Despite that pain, there is a glimmer of hope, for instead of cursing the one who has caused his suffering, the protagonist chooses to fill him with blessings in his dreams. This contrast between pain and hope is what makes “Black Tears” so poignant. The line that reads “I suffer the immense grief of your misplacement” struck me deeply. It is a reminder that loss is not only felt, but also lived day by day. Through the cuatro and my voice, I tried to convey that same feeling: the sadness that accompanies the departure of a loved one, but also the beauty of remembering those shared moments. The refrain, “Tiene lágrimas negras como mi vida,” perfectly encapsulates the grief and melancholy that comes with losing someone. It is a call for emotional connection that we can all understand. Despite the sadness, there is an internal struggle that is reflected in the decision to want to be together with that person, even in pain. I hope that by listening to my cover, you can feel that same emotional connection and resonance that this song has had on me.
    # Lyric (Spanish song)
Aunque tu, me has echado en el abandono
Aunque tu, has muerto todas mis ilusiones
Tu me quieres dejar, yo no quiero sufrir
Contigo me voy mi santa aunque me cueste morir

  • Hive Open Mic #230 🎤 The Crazy Week 🎶 Ni Siquiera
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=randolpheel1/lqpwxlpf
Today I want to share with you a new cover I did, this time of the song [“Ni Siquiera”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4hlLyr4cXo) by Antonio Cartagena. I decided to accompany my voice with the cuatro, an instrument that has always connected me with my roots and that gives a special touch to any interpretation. This song, which in its original version has a strong emotional charge, inspired me to explore those feelings from a more intimate and close perspective. The lyrics of “Ni Siquiera” are a powerful reflection of the contradictions of love and heartbreak. It's a song that speaks of the inevitable, of how a relationship can come to an end consensually, but still leave deep wounds. The line “Let's be friends you said, and make love one last time” encapsulates that desire to hold on to what's left, even when there's no turning back. It's a passion-laden moment of parting, where both know it's the end, but try to maintain a bond, even if it's for the last time. What struck me most when performing this song was the rawness with which the emotional betrayal is exposed. The idea that “you didn't even let the sweat of my body dry on yours to give yourself to it quietly” is heartbreaking. That quickness with which someone can try to erase such a significant past with another body shows how difficult it can be to truly let go of someone, and how sometimes we try to heal in the wrong ways. However, in my interpretation I wanted to convey not only the pain, but also the strength that comes from recognizing that “what was ours was just another love, not just another novel.” There is something liberating in accepting that a relationship was important, but it does not define our present or our future. It is a way of saying that, although the scars remain, we move forward with the certainty that what we lived had its value, but also its end. Recording this cover in cuatro and vocals allowed me to give a new dimension to the song, connecting in a more direct way with the emotions it evokes. I hope that when you listen to it, you can feel that mixture of nostalgia, pain and, above all, acceptance that I wanted to transmit.

  • Hive music festival week 99 - round 3 🎵 Dulce ❤️
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=randolpheel1/eycrreqc
Greetings my musical brothers of Hive! Today I want to share with you my experience creating a cover of the song [“Dulce”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdzUduD5B1s). I decided to take my four and pay tribute to one of the bands that has been an essential part of the soundtrack of my life: Los Amigos Invisibles. The lyrics of “Dulce” resonate deeply with me. It's not a song that simply talks about a superficial love based on the obvious, like hair color or perfume. Rather, it's about those invisible details, those almost indescribable sensations hidden in a simple kiss. What I find fascinating is how the song manages to capture the idea that the most irresistible thing about a person is not always what you see at first glance, but what you feel deep down, like the taste of lips that make you go crazy. The first verses led me to reflect on how we often become obsessed with outward appearance, with what is easy to change or adorn. But in the end, what really leaves us scarred is that inexplicable connection we feel, as if a simple touch can unleash a storm of emotions. For me, that's the magic of “Dulce.” No matter how many times the appearance of the loved one changes, what really matters is the essence we perceive through those small, but powerful, gestures. I can't help but remember what it feels like to kiss someone you love, how a single kiss can change everything, how something so simple can become an almost transcendental experience. It's that duality between the everyday and the sublime that makes this song so special to me, and as I play it and sing it, I feel like I'm reliving those moments when time seems to stand still. The final lines are, in my opinion, the emotional climax of the song. It is the ultimate statement that there is nothing else in the world that compares to that very unique and personal experience. It is the recognition that sometimes a simple gesture, a simple taste, may be all you need to feel complete. I hope that by listening to my version of “Dulce”, you can feel a little bit of what I feel when I perform it. That you can remember those moments when a simple kiss changed everything, and how, sometimes, the simplest thing is what leaves the deepest traces.
    # Lyric (Spanish song)
No es el color de tu pelo
    Puedes cambiarlo otra vez
    No es el perfume perfecto
    Que va dejando tu piel
    Lo que me tiene atrapado
    Ya no lo puedo entender
Es el sabor de tus labios
    Que me hacen enloquecer
    Ya los besé una vez
    Y ahora me cuesta creer
    Y ahora me cuesta pensar
    Que es la misma boca
    Que dejé pasar
Dulce, qué dulce está tu boca pero
Dulce, más nada me provoca, solo el
Dulce, qué dulce está tu boca pero
    Dulce, más nada me provoca

  • VIBES 🎶 Web3 music competition week 20 🎼 "La Que Me Gusta" | Cover by @randolpheel1
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=randolpheel1/msidsoli
Greetings my musical brothers and sisters of Hive! Today I want to share with you a very special experience. Recently, I took my cuatro and decided to cover a song that has always made me dance: [“La Que Me Gusta”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rigubwkGxdw) by Los Amigos Invisibles. This song has an infectious rhythm and lyrics that, although at first glance seem simple, hide a mixture of emotions and situations that many of us can identify with. The lyrics tell the story of someone who meets the person he likes and, between nerves and emotions, tries to get closer to her. There is an authenticity in that feeling of insecurity, of wanting to be enough for the other person without pretending to be someone else. I think we have all felt that fear of being “one more” and the hope that, maybe, this time, we will be the chosen one. The song also talks about the advice the protagonist's sister gave him: that girls like the giggly one better than the handsome one. It's a simple phrase, but it holds a great truth. Charm lies not only in appearance, but in the ability to make people laugh, to be genuine and to have a good sense of humor. In my interpretation, I tried to convey that idea, emphasizing the importance of being yourself and offering the best we have from authenticity. “I will make you feel so special, nothing will be too normal anymore.” This phrase resonated deeply with me. When we meet someone we like, everything changes. Suddenly, ordinary things become extraordinary. In my version of the song, I tried to capture that magic, that implicit promise that love has the power to transform our reality. Finally, the song ends on a hopeful note. Despite everything that goes wrong in life, sometimes, a smile can change everything. “The little girl looked at me and smiled.” It's a reminder that sometimes we just need a small gesture to know we're on the right path. Recording this cover was a rewarding experience. The cuatro, with its warm and vibrant sound, added a special touch to the performance, giving it a more intimate and personal feel. I was delighted to be able to reinterpret such an iconic song and I hope that, when you listen to it, you can feel the same joy and excitement that I felt when recording it. I hope you enjoy my version of “La Que Me Gusta”!
    # Lyric (Spanish song)
¿Y cómo no me iba a acercar?
No, no, no, no

The process of making a cover always connects me to the essence of the song, and when I came across Cardellino's [“Toscana”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-B-N2uSIHg), I knew I had to reinterpret it. The lyrics took me to a warm place, like a relaxing Sunday at home, where every note and word seemed designed to envelop me in a sense of nostalgia and longing. The song describes those simple but powerful moments, like a morning coffee or mom's laughter, that manage to capture the essence of what it means to feel good, loved and at peace. For me, performing this song was like immersing myself in that personal space we all have, where memories and longings blend with everyday reality. As I played the guitar and sang, I felt how each verse intertwined with my own emotions. The idea of “pouring honey all over the house” and “a handful of salt to be in my sauce” resonated deeply with me, evoking images of those little pleasures that make life sweet and sometimes a little salty, but always authentic. And then there's that call to “Fly me to your world,” a plea to be taken to a safe and loving place, something we all seek in our closest relationships. The combination of English and Spanish in the lyrics adds an extra layer of intimacy, as if I'm speaking directly to someone's heart, with words that flow naturally in both languages. This cover was my way of paying homage to those feelings. Every chord and every word I sang was charged with the intention of conveying that mix of sweetness, desire and a deep longing for connection. In the end, “Toscana” is not just a song, but an experience that invites you to close your eyes and let yourself go to a place where everything feels right, like a perfect morning or a dream trip.
    Fly me to your world
    'Cause you're good to me
Como un café en la mañana
    Como la risa de mamá
    Como un pasaje a Toscana
    I said come on
¿Por qué no vienes conmigo hoy? Uoah uoah oh
    Sos buena pa' mí
    Cuando dices que me extrañas
    Cuando te trepas y juegas
    Y luego lento me arañas
    Girl, you're gold
Te estoy cantando, presta atención, uoah uoah oh

  • Hive Open Mic #228 🎤 Song Of Freedom 🎶 Tu Con El
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=randolpheel1/vnlvaavf
Greetings to all my musical friends at Hive Open Mic! Today I want to share with you a new cover I did of the song [“Tú Con Él”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIC4fVmzUwI) in cuatro and vocals. The original version by Frankie Ruiz is a salsa classic, full of passion and heartbreak, but by adapting it to cuatro, I felt it gave it a new dimension, more intimate and nostalgic, that resonates with what the lyrics really convey. The lyrics of “Tú Con Él” are a bitter and resigned reflection on a lost love. The protagonist realizes that his beloved has found happiness with someone else, and although he tries to accept this reality, the pain of having been just an excuse for her to realize she could live without him is palpable. “Sure, woman, that today you're happy, that nothing from yesterday today makes you cry”, this verse opens the song with a mixture of acceptance and sadness. It's as if the protagonist is trying to convince himself that the best thing he can do is let her go. “You with him, time is running, I wait for you, but you with him”, this line reflects the futile waiting, the hope that fades as time goes by. The idea that the protagonist was aware that everything would end this way, but still let himself be carried away by love, is something that many of us can understand and feel in our own experiences. When he says “I was only the excuse, to make her see that you could, if you wanted to, live without her love”, one feels the resignation, the acceptance that he was only a bridge to her happiness with another. This is a crucial point in the song, where disillusionment becomes a painful lesson. “Forgive me, I didn't realize that game and I fell in love,” is perhaps the most painful line. That 'forgive me' carries enormous weight, it is the apology for having felt, for having allowed oneself to love someone who was no longer emotionally available. This cover was my way of paying tribute to this story of unrequited love, giving it my own interpretation. Through the cuatro, I wanted to accentuate that soft sadness, that melancholy that one feels when one accepts reality, but still has a wounded heart. It was a cathartic exercise, which allowed me not only to interpret the song, but also to reflect on the times when one becomes that 'bridge' in someone else's life. It's a reminder that sometimes love takes us down paths we don't expect, but always leaves us with a profound lesson.

  • Hive music festival week 97 - round 1 👩 Lloraras 😭
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=randolpheel1/rvcvhjwe
Hello, my brothers from the Hive Music Festival! Covering [“Llorarás”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxlB1B9emDc) has been an enriching experience, especially when performing it in cuatro and vocals. This song, with the unmistakable voice of Óscar D'León and the powerful sonority of La Dimensión Latina, is an immortal salsa classic that resonates with all those who have ever felt the pain of heartbreak. From the first chord, “Llorarás” grabs you with its contagious energy, but also with its direct and challenging message. The lyrics tell us about a story of heartbreak and regret, where the narrator's voice, tired of the rudeness and suffering caused by an elusive person, finally decides to close that chapter of his life. “You will cry and cry, without someone to comfort you,” is the affirmation that everything that is given, eventually comes back, and that the pain inflicted on another will end up being a mirror of one's own suffering. In my interpretation, I wanted to highlight that contrast between the joyful rhythm and the sadness contained in the lyrics. The cuatro, with its characteristic sound, allowed me to give a special touch to the melody, providing a different texture, more intimate, but without losing the rumbera essence that characterizes this salsa anthem. The verse “Y después vendrás a mí, pidiéndome perdón, pero ya mi corazón no se acuerda más de ti” perfectly encapsulates the liberation felt when leaving behind a love that has only brought pain. It is a statement of emotional independence, a reminder that while the suffering may be deep, the healing is also deep, and eventually, the heart moves on. Sharing this cover is a way for me to connect with that inner strength we all have, the one that allows us to overcome disappointments and come out stronger on the other side. I hope that, as you listen to my version, you feel that mix of nostalgia and liberation, and that music continues to be a refuge where you can find comfort and joy, even in the most difficult moments.
    # Lyric (Spanish song)
Sé que tú no quieres que yo a ti te quiera
    Te vas a arrepentir
    Lalala lala lala
    Y después vendrás a mí

  • Jammig Zone Week #24 🎶 Preso ⛓️
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=randolpheel1/tcxyiqsi
Greetings my Hive brothers! The Jamming Zone has become a space that has allowed me to explore and capture my thoughts and feelings through freestyle. This time, over a boombap track, I wrote a piece that I titled “Prisoner”. Hip hop has always been a vehicle to express realities, and this track is no exception. “Prisoner” is an introspection, a reflection of how, despite others seeing me free, I often feel the weight of invisible chains. I began by talking about the influence of my grandmother, who took me to prayer as a child, showing me the spiritual path, and how the death of a loved one leaves deep and indelible scars. Those experiences marked in me the understanding that life is a process, one in which we are all searching for our meaning. Music, my great companion, becomes my escape. Through it, I transcend flesh and bone, freeing myself from physical and economic limitations. Although, like everyone else, I have moments of uncertainty and of searching my pocket without finding a peso, I am comforted by the idea that God has given me things that are priceless, such as talent and the ability to connect with others through my art. In this journey, I recognize that I have been influenced by great artists, such as Akapellah, who have paved the way with their efforts. My inspiration also comes from the little big moments, like when my “negra” looks at me, and I feel how our souls connect in a kiss. Their love and support, despite my flaws, make me feel lucky and forgiven in a world that can sometimes be unforgiving. Freestyle also touches on universal themes such as facing the negative and the ability to transmute it into something positive. Life is uncertain, tomorrow is a mystery, but as long as I have the opportunity to breathe, I choose to feel grateful. I could easily focus on what I have not accomplished, but I prefer to consider my blessings, those that have brought me to where I am today. “Prisoner” is a reminder that, despite the downfalls and challenges, I am still moving forward. It is not yet my time to give up. If I lose my way, I will find myself again, and I will never stop trying. This freestyle is a reflection of my essence and the struggles I face every day, but it is also a testament to my resilience and the hope that drives me to keep creating.

  • VIBES 🎶 Web3 music competition week 19 🎼 "Otra Oportunidad" | Cover by @randolpheel1
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=randolpheel1/aexqvcqb
Hello everyone! Today I want to share something very special with all of you. I just recorded a cover of Jimmy Bosch's song ["Otra Opotunidad"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4C9h382PHH4), a song that has touched me deeply. It is a tribute, not only to Bosch's powerful music, but also to the stories of struggle and redemption that surround us, sometimes closer than we imagine. This song speaks of a pain that many know, but few express with such sincerity. It is the story of a loss, that of a brother who fell into the path of destruction, caught in the traps of the street. The lyrics are raw and direct, and as I interpreted them, I felt each word pierce through me. “My people, I want to tell you about an experience that happened to a family member. My brother lost his life alone in the street, without anyone knowing about it”. With these words, the song introduces us to a reality that is difficult to face. It is a reminder that bad decisions, disconnection and pain affect not only the one who lives through them, but everyone around them. It's a plea to listen, to pay attention before it's too late. As I sang this part, I couldn't help but think of all the people who have lost someone in this way. The pain of family, the emptiness left by someone who leaves without saying goodbye. “Advice he didn't take, message he didn't hear, and that's why he's not with me.” These lines make me reflect on the importance of being present, of listening and being listened to. Sometimes, in our daily rush, we forget how crucial an advice, a word of support is. The song also has a message of hope and redemption. The protagonist finds the strength to change his life: “Today, I know that I don't have to live that way on the street lost. Just for today I don't want to drink, I don't want to get high. I don't want to die, what I want is to live. It is a testimony that it is never too late to turn around, to take control of our destiny. And I think this is what makes the song so powerful; it is not only a story of loss, but also of rebirth. When I sang these lines, I felt a personal connection. We've all had times when we need a “another chance.” And sometimes, that chance doesn't come until we've hit rock bottom. The song reminds us that life offers us the chance to pick ourselves up and move on, to heal the wounds and find a new path. “Our family, so much they've suffered, their pain is incomparable.” This line resonates with the reality of many families who have seen a loved one fall into the clutches of addiction or despair. It is a reminder that our suffering is not ours alone, but impacts those who love us most. That's why the song insists on the importance of recovery and learning: “What we want here is to recover”. Ending the cover with the final part of the song, “And now my life has been enlightened because I have been given another chance. Me, I am learning how to live one day at a time”, was for me an act of gratitude. It is a celebration of life, of the second chance that many seek and, fortunately, find. In sharing this cover, I hope it can touch someone as the song has touched me. May it serve as a reminder that even though life can be hard, there is always room for a new chance, to change and to live in a better way. 🎶✨

    Lyric (Spanish song)
Mi gente, yo les quiero decir
    De una experiencia
Que le pasó a un familiar
Mi hermano ha perdido la vida
    Solo en la calle
    Sin que nadie lo supiera
    Consejos no cogió
    Mensaje no escuchó
    Nuestros familiares
    Tanto que han sufrido
    Su dolor es incomparable
Familia, yo sé que aquí toditos
    Identifican con la insanidad
    Sufrir, nadie quiere más
    Lo que aquí queremos
    Es recuperar
Y ahora se ha iluminado mi vida
    Porque me han dado
    Otra oportunidad
    ¡Yo!, estoy aprendiendo
    Como vivir
    Un día a la vez

  • Hive Open Mic #227 🎤 The Power Of A Kiss 🎶 Casi Te Envidio
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=randolpheel1/xefuslui
Greetings to all my musical friends at Hive Open Mic! Today I want to share with you a new cover I did of the song [“Casi Te Envidio”](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXaibyHWF2U) by Andy Montañez. This song, with its deep melancholy and lyrics full of mixed emotions, resonated with me in a special way, both in its lyrical content and its musical interpretation. It was a challenge to capture in my guitar and voice the essence that Montañez imprints in each of his words. When I came across the lyrics, I was struck by how they describe the inner conflict of someone who, despite being left behind by his love, still feels a connection so deep that he cannot imagine living without her. It is a story that speaks of the contradiction of wanting to move on, of wishing to be able to find a new illusion, but at the same time being trapped in the past, in that love that is still vital. It seems to me that we have all been in that place at one time or another, where we wish we could free our hearts, but something inside us just won't allow it. The part where she says, “I almost envy you because I too wish I had another illusion, day in and day out” touched me deeply. It's almost as if it's a silent cry, an expression of desire for emotional freedom that cannot yet be achieved. It is the struggle between what one wants and what the heart allows. In singing this line, I tried to convey that sense of hopelessness, but also of longing, as an attempt to release those trapped feelings. Although the song speaks of envy towards someone who has found a new love, what struck me most is the resignation in the repetition of “I can't”. That insistence that it is not possible to move on shows the internal struggle of a person who is aware of what they should do, but cannot. When I interpreted that part, I did it from a place of understanding, of empathy towards that feeling of being trapped in a past love. I wanted to convey with my voice that helplessness, that resignation, but also that little spark of hope that maybe, someday, peace can be found. It was an emotionally intense experience, and I hope that when you listen to this cover you can feel the same depth that I felt when I performed it. This is a song that forces you to reflect on your own love experiences, on those moments when you wanted to move on but found yourself stopped, on those loves that sometimes you can't let go of even if you want to. I invite you to listen to my version and share with me your own reflections. Have you ever been in a similar situation? What emotions does this song evoke in you?
    # Lyric (Spanish song)
Me dices que te has vuelto a enamorar
    Me gustaría
    Tener otra ilusión
    Día tras día
Casi te envidio porque a mí también
    Me gustaría
    Cambiar de ilusión
    Pero yo no puedo
    No puedo, no puedo
    No puedo, no puedo
    Vivir sin tu amor
