EP77 of the Random History of Belgium talks about the origins and history of our language communities and language border(s).
This is a historical overview of the influencing factors of this divide between multiple groups of different language speakers in our country. It's also a first episode exploring the origins of some the elements of our state structure.

EP76 is looking at the "God of wrestling" in Japan, a Belgian named Karl Gotch, we look at his life, background, wrestling, training and his legacy in our ongoing look at people, companies or events playing a role in the history of Belgium

Episode 75 of the Random #history of Belgium will take a fly-over approach on the place of #chocolate in our history. On this Christmas day we're looking at the the past of bon-bons, pralines, chocolate bars, truffles and a bit of the companies and origins behind these tasty goods.

In Episode 74 of the Random history of #Belgium , the controversial prime-minister, sausage merchant and allround businessman Paul Vanden Boeynants is our main focus, next to the 1960s strikes, small business regulation and the reshaping of Brussels. #VDB

In Episode 73 of the Random History of Belgium, we take a first look at our strips, cartoon and comic book culture. We do this by following the career and creations of André Franquin.
We look at his life, work and his importance in comic-book culture.

EP72 of the Random history of #Belgium, is the final part of the "Battle for Belgium" campaign of may #1940 , ending with the capitulation and the beginning of the #occupation, we'll look at the final battles, the way the political cards were played (or lack thereof) and the fate of the allied troops, the king of Belgium and the official Belgian government. This ends a 10-part series on our side of the beginning of #WWII in Western Europe.

EP71 of RHob is part 9 in the #BattleForBelgium series (which will be 10 parts long) we'll talk about the defence on the Lys (Leie) river, the famous halt-order, new defences for Ypres and Roeselare, the Vinkt massacre, as well as the general situation of the Allied armies in #Belgium and the North of France during 23-26 may of 1940. #WWII 

For EP70 of the Random #history of #Belgium, we return to #Antarctica with the expeditions, and Belgian bases on the continent, as well as the adventurers who wrote history there. The princess Elisabeth base, King Boudewijn base and De Gerlache are amongst the subjects we'll handle.
