By 2002, Korn was the top selling nu metal band of the last decade with hits like “freak on a leash”, “got the life” and “make me bad”. Having moved millions of units while selling out arenas worldwide, it only made sense for labels to cash in on any korn related side projects knowing full well albums would move based on Korn’s name value alone. Bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arizvu took full advantage by creating one of the worst albums to ever hit shelves, a supposed rap project entitled “Fieldy’s Dreams”. This side project not only bastardized the word “music”, it flat out told it to bite the curb before stomping it into oblivion. From the tacky generic rapper artwork to lyrics that read like a horny, delusional teenager wrote them about his delusions of fame and fortune, Fieldy’s Dreams is an album without a redeemable quality. Because of it’s painfully bad flow, it’s rain puddle depth and lyrics so revolting you’ll blush, it makes for an amazing piece of pop culture history and a fun story to tell. It’s the story of the “little bassist that couldn’t” as we dig for survivors in the train wreck that was compact disc disaster known as “Fieldy’s Dreams”.
