If you use the WPMUDev Tools WordPress extensions like I do, specifically their Defender plugin, you may notice a bunch of file deletions in your weekly report or in your dashboard. If they are just the minified JavaScript and CSS files, then don't worry about it, that's natural and not an issue.

Owncloud has a built-in file scan utility for rebuilding the index of your online document repository and many others, including ones for cleaning up versions and trash bin items. I was having some syncing issues, and this was my second step (first was to stop and restart the syncing app).

One of the applications I work with on a regular basis is a legacy Visual Foxpro application. This time I had to restore a database from another source over an existing database on our network.

A user had left their VPN connection at their house open while trying to VPN and remote in from their laptop at a different location. This one is about 40 minutes long as I run through several different things to try to fix it and call tech support for their advice. Eventually we just block the first IP address so that the new IP address can't connect even though the last one was left open.
