Sorry to say, the audio this week is sub-par, but it is still a very fun episode.

This week we discuss, at length, the difference between Italians and Italian-Americans as well as Sicilian Witchcraft. After a while, we finally get onto hockey-related topics like the Ryan Lindgren signing and Jeff Marek's firing.

We spend the rest of the episode speaking highly of the Olympics, it's athletes and why it's all so inspiring. Then we play a game that's sure to make everyone a bit uncomfortable.

Ranger Things season two has begun. We're back from our respective lake houses and are ready to report on everything that's not happening.

This week we discuss the contract situations of our D core, Matt Rempe's training with Kreider, Mika's not actually bad season, and we defend the Rangers' front office after a slightly back-handed off-season thus far.

We also play Name that Player and hash out the terms of yet another steak dinner bet between Dave and Brendan. (For the original bet, listen to our appearance on From the Blue Seats)

Winner of the bet gets a steak dinner.

At the end of the season, If Jonathan Quick's GAA is 3.12 or higher AND SV% is 8.99 or below, Brendan wins. If his GAA is 3.11 or lower AND SV% is 9.00 or better, Dave wins.

If there is a split in the stats, the tiebreaker is Quick's wins. Closest to the actual total wins the bet. Brendan chose 12 wins, Dave chose 14 wins.

If Quick's GAA is exactly 3.11 AND SV% is exactly 9.00 AND Quick has 13 wins, Carlo wins.

This week is the season finale for Ranger Things. We'll be returning in 3 weeks (unless there is something substantial to chat about).

We talk about some of the signings and trades that may effect the Rangers, Glen Sather, Goodrow's move to San Jose, and spend a lot of time on the Trouba drama, complete with Carlo's theory on why he want's to stay). We also dive into Kakko's future with this team (Carlo almost cries) and whether or not we really need Shesterkin (there is a compelling argument to move on from him).

We spent a lot of time and thought on making a 3 year plan where the Rangers can stay competitive. It's not very novel, but is does call attention to a 10-12 million dollar problem the Rangers will be facing very soon.

We also chat a bit about the Utah Hockey Club.

We had planned on recording a season recap, and did for the most part, but just like the Rangers' post season, things went a tad south. This week was a much needed cathartic release.
