Season 1, Episode 14 (Halloween Special 1) - It’s time to get spooky with the first of our two Halloween Specials this year, actually it’s our first Special ever! You better get used to it because there will be a few between now and the end of the year. But this time we’re discussing 2020’s Hubie Halloween.

Synopsis: Despite his devotion to his hometown of Salem (and its Halloween celebration), Hubie Dubois is a figure of mockery for kids and adults alike. But this year, something is going bump in the night, and it's up to Hubie to save Halloween.

We’ll talk about the film’s scores, go over the whole plot (quite a lot going on in this one), talk about trivia and more. We’ll also talk about the many faces of the SandlerVerse, how it seems to us like this was ‘Sandler's Greatest Hits’, and try to say Hubie’s name which we seem incapable of doing.

Season 1, Episode 13 - We’re back from our wee break, and as a sort of segue into the Halloween season, we’re talking about a very famous foul mouthed doll’s second big screen outing; 1990’s Child’s Play 2.

Synopsis: Chucky is reconstructed by Playpal Toys to dispel the negative publicity surrounding the brand. Now resurrected he tracks young Andy Barclay to a foster home where he aims to claim Andy’s body as his own.

Season 1, Episode 12 - This is our last episode before we go on a wee mid-season break until October, so as a sort of special we decided to cover a 0% movie, and that movie is 1990’s Problem Child, a film which is very confused and didn’t really seem to know what it wanted to do, we’d seen it referred to as ‘Problematic Child’ and to be fair, that’s quite accurate.

Synopsis: A seven-year-old troublemaker wreaks havoc on the lives of his new parents - a patient, kind-hearted man and his social ladder-climbing wife.’

We’ll talk about the film’s scores, go over the whole plot, talk about trivia and more. We’ll also talk about the movie's many shortcomings whilst unearthing some of the more wholesome or genuinely good moments (if we’re honest, this was a challenge). We’ll also talk about perhaps why this movie is a bit all over the place as well as talk about the Simpsons about 500 times for some reason!

Season 1, Episode 11 - Where does your franchise go when it has nowhere else to go? That’s right, SPACE! This week it’s 2001’s (or 2002’s depending on who you ask) horror adjacent space slasher; Jason X. We’ve had quite a few requests for this one, so Mikey decided to choose it for his mystery pick!

Synopsis: ‘Jason Voorhees is cryogenically frozen at the beginning of the 21st century, and is discovered in the 25th century and taken to space. He gets thawed, and begins stalking and killing the crew of the spaceship that's transporting him.’

Season 1, Episode 10 - This week we’re talking about 2008’s dreary romantic vampire flick; Twilight. Cat has been excited about this one. Largely because it would finally mean Mikey would have to watch it. 

Synopsis: ‘High-school student Bella Swan, always a bit of a misfit, doesn't expect life to change much when she moves from sunny Arizona to rainy Washington state. Then she meets Edward Cullen, a handsome but mysterious teen whose eyes seem to peer directly into her soul. Edward is a vampire whose family does not drink blood, and Bella, far from being frightened, enters into a dangerous romance with her immortal soulmate.’

Season 1, Episode 9 - COWABUNGA! RADICAL! BOSSA NOVA!? That's right, this week it’s turtle time and we’re buzzing to talk about the famous amphibians 1990 foray into live action cinema. 

Synopsis: ‘Four teenage mutant ninja turtles emerge from the shadows to protect New York City from a gang of criminal ninjas.’

Season 1, Episode 8 - This week we have another request! So, we're off to Louisiana for 2018’s romantic drama cheesefest; Forever My Girl.#

Season 1, Episode 6 - Join us as we talk about a film which was somewhat overlooked on it’s release, it’s 1995’s A Goofy Movie, starring Disney’s most famous H’yucking lovable klutz – Goofy!

Synopsis: ‘When Max makes a preposterous promise to a girl he has a crush on, his chances of fulfilling it seem hopeless when he is dragged onto a cross-country trip with his embarrassing father, Goofy.’

Season 1, Episode 5 - This week we’re doing our first listener request! Mikey also gets a chance to geek out over some of his favourite things as we talk about OG monster masher Van Helsing and his 2004 big screen feature film. We’ve got crossbows, vampires, werewolves, fizzing whizzbees, a very Scottish Mr Hyde and more!

Synopsis: ‘The famed monster hunter is sent to Transylvania to stop Count Dracula, who is using Dr Frankenstein’s research and a werewolf for nefarious purposes’.

Dracula: Minas Reckoning – it was actually the National Theatre of Scotland who put this show on. Here is the trailer for the play which ran early September to October last year in cities across the UK. Hopefully they do another run, we’d love to go again.
