S3E26 is another premium SUBSCRIBER-ONLY episode, where I cover the recently-published National Police Wellbeing Survey 2023.

The Summary of Evidence and Insights report from Oscar Kilo, Durham University and the College of Policing, is an important one for aspiring police leaders to browse and comprehend. However, at 61 pages and full of academese jargon, descriptive statistics and so on, you may be forgiven for not going in depth. So in this podcast, I draw out some key points to take heed of as a police leader and why it's important.

One reason this is important for example is that it relates directly to the CVF behaviours, such as We Are Emotionally Aware. Another reason is that for Inspectors and above, it's good to have a more strategic understanding of the issues facing policing. Leading wellbeing is also a core part of the increasingly common CVF value of Compassion, now used in several UK police forces. Further, don't be surprised when forces hit you with a leading wellbeing promotion board question or briefing scenario, or even one directly related to this Wellbeing Survey report.

In this premium episode, I look at the various facets of the results and explain what they mean in the real world. Most importantly, and which you won't find elsewhere, I answer the 'so what?' in the context of your police leadership and promotion ambitions.
