  • Tom Blip: The Ransom Note Mix
There has been something of a revelation of sorts in recent years. A changing of the guard if you will. Tom is the man behind Blip Discs, a record label which seemed to explode incredibly quickly with sell out releases and wide reaching support. Often it can be hard to maintain momentum as a newly founded imprint, each release is judged very differently and the risk of failure is certainly higher. However, for those who manage to rise above the pressure the rewards are fruitful. Since 2015 the label has released an array of forward thinking club focussed music from the likes of O'Flynn, Glowing Palms and Spooky J. Tom himself has contributed a number of releases and demonstrated a maturity which stretches far beyond his youthful years.
We are excited to feature him as part of our Ransom Note mix series.

  • Matisa: The 'Shine A Light On' Mix
Colour is the name of the game. We all need a little bit of colour, flair and originality in our lives. Matisa has it in abundance, a fine role model with impeccable taste in music and beautiful selection. The Italian disc jockey has helped to refocus the stereotypes sometimes associated with Italian dance music as she digs incredibly deep for far reaching selections across a wide spectrum of genres. With a penchant for vinyl she has quickly become one of our favourite selectors and we predict big things for this girl in the coming year following recent features on the likes of Red Light Radio in Amsterdam and a wide array of club dates.
She digs deep as she contributes to our mix series which showcases some of the most interesting new faces from across the spectrum of electronic music as she delivers a special all vinyl mix.

  • Hot Air Episode: #15 ASOK talks to Joe Europe
To listen to the records that Stu Robinson has put out under his ASOK moniker you’d think that he’s been producing for years. Deep, rolling techno and house music that has such a distinctive feel that you can pick his tracks out a mile off. In actual fact he only got into production relatively recently but that’s only half the story. With a deep love of electronic music that goes back to his school days in the early 90s he has lived and breathed this scene for over two decades. I caught up with Stu over Skype to dig into his story and we really do go deep. We chatted for ages covering his first forays into the northern hard core and jungle scene, how he balances being a dad and a touring DJ right up to his new label venture, Four Triangles. It was a real pleasure to chat to someone with such unending enthusiasm for electronic music in all its forms. Well maybe except for trance that is.
